Hi Jay! thank you :)
and here is the link to it cz I myself don't live in india, so my grasp of mythology is also quite basic and what i remember my grandfather telling me when I was a kid. But this post explains it beautifully.

How Parvati married Shiva!

So true when she could say yes to a snake's selection...what else is there further to speak of her naivety.

Loving the character of Paro.

thanks di!
And indeed we don't need any other measurement than that snake god one where she and every1 she knew decided their fate using such things!😲
So is it any surprise at all that she thought that her Bholenath was telling that she was meant to be with Rudra?

aww ya totally loving her now!! just like Khushi was, Paro sirf ek hi piece hu poori duniya mein! humme patent lagana chahiye! 😆

This is exactly how I feel too... Paro is a simple girl.. It is impossible for us to put ourselves in her shoes..but there are countless simple girls like her in semi urban india.. Who leave their fate in the hands of god, parents or their elders..

She's not yet in love with rudra..her love is simple crush wala love...rudra needs to awaken the woman in her.. He has already woken up the nurturing woman in her..but the passion needs to be worked on..

Beautifully explained...thanks sunara...

I think these days we are so used to seeing in movies and books a strong physical attraction, infatuation, etc described as love ...ki people are skeptical on seeing a pure, spiritual form of love like paro...I'm sure parud will get to the physical part too...but right now I'm just so glad the cvs took the ghispita track of hate marriage and are turning it into a tapasya of paro to win rudra track...creative isn't it...

👏👏👏 Fantastic Sunara!!!
On a human level I didn't find anything wrong in either Laila or Paro 'forcing' themselves on Rudra except for their underlying reasons. Laila was totally selfish...it was all about her...she was beautiful and had dedicated her life to him and wanted to be rewarded for that. Paro's love is selfless. Yes, being with Rudra makes her happy but the important thing to her is to bring a smile to his face and to heal his heart. Her 15 year connection to him and the Shiv-Parvati story has convinced her that there is something between them. Somehow I think when Paro gets to know about Laila and if she thinks Rudra's happiness is in Laila then she will put her own happiness aside and leave Rudra to Laila but only until she knows that Laila doesn't make Rudra happy. That's the difference between Paro and Laila.
I'm actually as confused as Paro about her current being in love status. I think being human she is in love - the deep passionate kind - but doesn't know or understand those feelings yet but the selfless devotion is also there.
Paro understands Rudra's pain even more now that she realizes he was the little boy on the bus and she understands how old and deep seated his pain is and all she wants do to is to ease the pain of a man she loves, at whatever level that might be. His pain, anger and frustrations at himself makes him turn on her but she knows that's his anger speaking and not him. In anger we hurt those we love the most, simply because we can but then once the anger has subsides we also feel the deepest regret for those hurtful words. Paro was hurt at the 'besharam' comment but her background has taught her to be more tolerant and to look beyond the insult. When someone causes you pain because they are in pain, you don't slap them for it...you either walk away or if the person is important enough you help them through it and that's what Paro has chosen to do.

Loved your interpretation of the situation. Don't know whether even the Cvs would have thought about it from this view point. Beautifully explained.
