Exactly. And in view of this, Astha's devotion , her expectations of him and

her frequent confessions are flabergasting to say the least. Especially

since Shlok has always made his position very clear, in so many words too.

Ashlok's relationship won't work as long as Shlok remains this unhealthy relationship with his father. And frankly, Astha deserves a lot more than that.
