RR Story Telling And Audience Vieweing - Why The Disconnect! (Do Read)

Ok...so for the past many days...I have not really been posting much or making my usual light comics posts...Reason?
I have simply been reading...observing...try to comprehend with all different perspectives...takes on the story telling...its characters and its general outcome in terms of TRPs and fandoms...

Recently...there have been lots of disconnect amongst viewers. The episodes delivered are as such that most of the times...the audience is left parted into groups...some vouching for Rudra...while some for Paro. On a daily on going basis...this has been a constant battle in the RR forum and the strangest thing is that viewers are getting so derailed from time to time that they find themselves not being able to stay consistent in what they like about the show. So if today they are defending Rudra...tomorrow a scene of him would throw them off the curveball and they will come up with either desperately trying to still justify him even though its not really convincing or simply walk across the fields and present a counter post against his actions. Similarly...if today they are vouching for Paro and her simplicity...tomorrow her 1 decision is going to fly over their heads and they will not be able to comprehend with the same Paro.

I am not going to say there is anything wrong with RR story telling...NOPE...NOT AT ALL...infact RR is one the most rare love stories I have come across and the makers vision is so intriguing for me that I find myself horribly and dangerously obsessed with this show right now. (I need a break I swearšŸ˜†)...
I am also not going to pin point fandoms or the audience that they are being picky ...or ridiculous or are trying to pose as wanna-be writers of the show...NOPE...AGAIN NOT AT ALL...they are the audience and have every right to express their opinions about the product that is being sold to them...afterall...these are the opinions that is necessary for the makers to improvise on their product and attain satisfaction across the board...

So THEN?...What is the problem? Why is it that there is this constant disconnect amongst the fans...the constant battle of posts we see in the forum here. We are afterall watching the same show and we should be able to...if nothing...atleast stay consistent to what we like...rather than jumping ships from Rudra to Paro and vice versa.

To me...the problem lies in the extreme characterizations of Rudra and Paro.
While Rudra is quite an extreme "GREY"...Paro is extremely "WHITE"...none of which can resemblance a real life human characteristics.

And NO...I am NOT saying its wrong characterizations...neither am I trying to tell makers to do anything about it...I am rather just trying to tell u...what the problem is so we can atleast understand why we have this differences and why we may continue to have them...

We as normal humans are all grey...and therefore to some extent...we are able to comprehend with Rudra and his actions more often than we can for Paro. We are able to understand why he would have such a behaviour but its not until he touches his peak point of the "grey" shade that we get switched off...coz most of us lie in the mid point of grey and would not do what an extreme grey character like Rudra will do.

Paro on the other hand is TOO white...someone we dont generally see in real life. Someone who's actions just does not jell with us sometimes coz its not something u and I would do if presented with a similar situation, for example...today when Rudra was having a verbal diarrhea on her character and her beauty...U and I would prolly give Rudra a few words back or have some sorta of a reaction...but Paro ...for many...didnt quite react the way they expected or hoped she would...simply coz of her "WHITE" character...that does not have the ingredients of "GREY"...pride...ego...self-respect...self-esteem...yadi yada ya!

So...to me...there is absolutely NO problem with story telling...neither is there any problem with us the audience...the problem is the extremity of the both these characters that make them behave in a fashion unknown to most of us (exceptions being those that have writing and literature knowledge) coz we do not lie in that extreme shades.
The next problem then lies is in us viewers trying to relate this behaviors with real life incidents...and try to reason them out. NOPE...its not going to work...simply coz the story is that of FICTION...and with FICTION comes the disclaimer "All characters appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental."

Sorry for the long post...but I do feel that while its always good to present yours views in regards to the episode and story telling...keeping in mind that we as an audience have signed up for a FICTION work and allowing for the makers to tell their story in its entirety by simply just listening to what they want to tell...would make the journey all the more better for everyone.

Thank you all...😳

PS. I am heading out to bed so prolly wont reply...but you can all keep the discussions going observing utmost civilization.

PSS. I do not intend to hurt the sentiments of any member here...and for any such occurrence, I apologize in advance and please understand that it is purely coincidental.

PSSS. The purpose of this post was simply to make aware my compiled reason of this constant battling posts ...I do not however claim that the reasons I have compiled are absolutely correct. You are entitled to disagree with my views.

Oh woww šŸ‘ You just explained it soo beautifully and now i can understand that why am in not able to relate with paro's character because she is "TOOO WHITE" and i am not šŸ˜†..
But Rudra is "TOOO GREY" ... I am not too grey but yes i am a normal person and that's why i can relate more from Rudra's POV..

You explained it soo beautifully šŸ‘ .. Thankyou soo much for this postšŸ¤—

Yes actually you have a made a very valid point. We are able to relate to Rudra's grey characterization more than Paro. We can relate to his character more because as human we too have issues, insecurities and make mistakes.

So somehow Rudra's character seems more real. Paro on the other hand seems to be the epitome of all goodness or something. And we can't relate to her that much because of it.

But I think that differences in their character is what makes them so compatible and makes them so much attracted to each other in RR world. Thats why after my last hindi show I always tell myself repeatedly that all this is just mindless fiction. And in fictional world logic may fail.

Anyway I love both the characters Rudra and Paro.

šŸ‘šŸ‘...what a bang on post... thanks for the sane voice in all the din out there. Loved the clarity and absolutely right about the reasons for the extreme viewpoints. Couldn't agree with you more about the story being fiction and the makers have the liberty to tell their story like they want to. Don't like what you are watching? the remote is always there.
