Now, Karanvir Bohra to play the lead in QH - TOI

Barely two months after replacing Karan Singh Grover as the new Asad in Qubool Hai, actor Raqesh Vashisth has been ousted. The show will now have a third male lead in Karanvir Bohra.

Following two time leaps this month " a short leap of two years and a longer one of 20 years " the focus of the show will shift and Karanvir will be introduced as a new character. He will be seen as the love interest of Asad and Zoya's (Surbhi Jyoti) grown-up daughter, also played by Surbhi. Interestingly, he was earlier approached to replace Karan, but things didn't materialise then.

Says Karanvir, "I have never replaced any actor in my entire career. Along with Qubool Hai, I was also offered Madhubala " Ek Ishq Ek Junoon (as a replacement of Vivian Dsena), but I declined. I accepted this role, because I will be playing a brand new character. Also, I have not played a Muslim so far."

There will be a lot of expectations as he enters the show. Does it make him nervous? "Not at all. I like to take responsibilities," says he.
