HIMYM ended yesterday on CBS after a nine year run. For those who have seen it, did you like the end?

I frankly am disappointed because I started watching the show purely for Barney and Robin and fell in love with the others only later.

I'm hoping that this is a April Fools Day epi but the end is really very heart-breaking and frustrating </3

I didnt like the ending either ! It was so disappointing and that is the understatement. I can even process the mother dying,that kinda makes sense because this is why Ted has been recounting the stories all along! But it was heart rending nevertheless.

What was atrocious was the kids asking him to pursue their AUNT Robin and he does so! WTH was that ?!!! Does that even make sense ? I mean after all that ,back with Robin again ?! And Barney! Character development trashed in a few mins! How can they just divorce like that ?

And I totally blame Robin for that ! Because,doesn't it mean that her job would always come first even with Ted ? And after everything,Barney goes back to his old self ?!! That so doesn't make sense!

And which kids will ask their parents to go after their aunt ? And its not like Robin kept in touch with him through the years after he met Tracy(the mother) because I dont think she was there when she lost her too! Then how could she suddenly waltz back in his life and he even thinks about her romantically again ?

WEIRD! 🤢 I had no problems with even the episodes of this 9th season which people have been cribbing so much about! I saw all that,each and every episode and they give this finale ?!

Punch to all the fans' guts is all I can say.

Really sorry for the rant ! Had to get it out of my system 😛 But seriously,I don't think I can ever re watch any of the HIMYM episodes again ,even from the previous seasons. It has been ruined for me. Ugh 😭

Well me for one, did like the ending.I know unpopular opinion here but :P I am and always have been a Ted Robin shipper, so it was quite a surprise for me, and hell yes I was happy.

Like Ted's kids said, the entire story was more about how Ted could not fall out of love with Robin than the mother.

Plus , Ted got back with Robin after 6 years of Tracey's dead, and if she was live I don't think Ted would have ever thought of doing so. But years had passed, its okay to date another person , some one who would make him happy. And with all the seasons I dont think Ted and Robin ever had totally wiped out their feelings for each other.

having said all that, I was sad about Tracey's death , she was a sweetheart.

Barney's scene with his little daughter made me smile.

i just wished instead of making the whole season on one weekend they could have played this story . It was way too rushed.
