All of you have nailed it . Nikhil loves laajo and was always there for her may be not realizing it is because of the soul connect he has with her i.e Love. He could not leave her at Sonbarsa for the first time, even though it meant he would be forgiven by his mom for the guilt he carried all through his childhood. Then he had full faith in her honesty when Sid tried to molest her and all his family were rallying behind Sid. He never gave up on her even in dire situations, Isn't it his unflinching trust in Laajo which made Laajo Love him. Is this not Love?

Coming to the confusion , I think the C.V's have overworked it!!! Yes Nikhil is confused because since his childhood he was lonely and the only friend he had was Ishana. His thought process started and ended with Ishana so he doted on her. Ishana being a selfish person loved being pampered and getting so much attention. So Nikhil due to his loneliness and Ishana due to her self importance thought that they were in Love with each other. All this changed when Laajo entered Nikhil's Life as his wife. Nikhil was no longer lonely but was cared for. Laajo made him feel important and she even supported him in whatever decision he took. He was his self with Laajo but with Ishana he was always trying to be a person which he is not. So Nikhil can never give-up Laajo as his responsibility because She is the one who made him meet his real self and also instilled confidence in him. This Nikhil is realizing now and badly missing her. He knows that Laajo with her six month stint with him has influenced his life more than Ishana whom he claims he loves for years.

I am happy that the C.v's have not made Nikhil realize his love for Laajo only by exposing Ishana's selfish schemes but made it look that Nikhil has always had feelings for Laajo but is now realizing it when she has left him. Love happens without any preconditions and that is the bottom line.
