"Aliyah had gone back. Informing everybody but me. It's been one month since that dreadful day. Now the calendar marks indicate that I am waiting for you to return. Don't the memories haunt you just like they haunt me? Don't you ever feel peace when you are with me? Life has been hell since the day you left me. Please please please come back." Zain kept her photo back on the side table and wiped a lone tear from his cheek. This had now become his routine. He used to talk to her photo. He went to the cupboard and took out his prayer mat. He spread it on the floor.
Kise puchu hai aisa kyu

He tied his handkerchief to cover his head and sat down. He brought both his shaking hands in front of his face and closed his eyes. The silent moment opened the gates of his memory and they flood in. Aliyah praying for him numerous times. How serene and peaceful she looked when she was praying to Allah. A smile played on his lips and the realization that she is not with him anymore brought tears in his eyes which were now out of control.

Zain started remembering all his memories. His memories with Aliyah. He was so happy with her. He just couldn't realize that. If he did at that time, Aliyah would have been with him. When she is not with him he feels like he cannot breathe. He finds himself helpless. Nowhere to go. His heart is beating but he is not alive. He performed his prayers and then came and sat on the bed.

Tum chahiye toh poora karma le lo. Mein tumhe kuch nahi kahunga. Bohot ho gaya ab. Bas tum waapis aa jao. Bas waapis aa jao." He kept on saying that and cried. First time in his life, he was crying because he was in pain. Because he realized the pain when people leave.
Jo bheji thi dua woh jaake asmaan
se yoon takra gayi
ke aa gayi hai laut ke sada
"Zain?" He looked up and saw Aliyah in front of him. His angel standing in front of him. He could believe on his eyes. Was she really here or he was just hallucinating? He went towards her with slow and small steps and tried to touch her face. The feel of her skin, the warmth, made him alive once again. "Zain? Kya kar rahe ho tum? Koi bhoot dekh liya aise kyu behave kar rahe ho?" she asked only to be hushed by him. He took her in his embrace. She fitted in his arms so perfectly. Aliyah was shocked but decided to keep quiet. Time had stopped and they stayed their for what felt eternity. Both of them at peace in each others embrace. Zain looked up and thanked Allah for sending her back to him.
