The lack of subtlety is not just in the acting ..its much more in the direction and the screenplay. Yesterday's breakdown scene was completely justified...but the impact was diluted because of so many breakdown scenes in the last few weeks which were not required at all. Now we seem to be on a hug overdose...a hug in every episode it seems. This overkill stifles the viewers anticipation for such scenes. Also some of the scenes are too stretched out...the editing needs to be much more crisp for the scenes to make an impact

Hi Siesta, I agree with you about the direction...I think the screen play is written, and the director pretty much tells the actor if they to be standing, sitting or whatever...so the actors have room to only change the body language and facial expressions ...I think that could become a real issue...
Ah...time to remember Mr. lalit Mohan again...who was a master of doing beautifully even with a weak plot...

What i meant to say was that the breakdown scenes must be in the screenplay or is it the director's discretion ?

Hi!

I too hate it when he cries.

1) He doesn't look "pretty" when he does. 😆 He is too virile. Somehow he doesn't come across as one of those men who would easily show any sign of weakness. (This was the flimsy reason)

2) It is too methodical, too clinical. Somehow it lacks that spontaneity. That natural flow of emotions. Doesn't look convincing enough. Well that's my opinion of course. I fail to connect. I am this indifferent unattached person watching as a part of the audience as he goes through his emotions. He fails to tug my heart strings unlike SI who when cries makes my heart bleed. And not I am not being gender biased. I would rather see him just letting himself go and follow his instincts instead of doing his method acting

Hi EBR
Fully agree with 1😆

On 2, I think yesterday was a direction issue...not an acting issue...

In particular...
I dont think method acting is a problem...it is just the loudness with which the emotions are expressed in the sob scenes...It is too theatrical at times...too raw...Normally that would be a good thing...but I think it becomes too much for me as a viewer at times...May be becuase i dont see men crying like that without some type of restraint...in expressions or mannersims...thats why I am prejudiced...If the frequency of breakdowns is managed...this will likely not be an issue...

Thats a good point...I don't know exactly who does what...I should say...Creative heads...not single out the director...

Yes, the Rudra crying and expressing his grief/disbelief with eyes wide as saucers is atad much - it really needs to be toned down.

Hope Paro is not going to be all over Rudra

I like my men to do the chasing, women's equality be dam*** 😛

I loved Paro too... it would not have been impactful if Sanaya had slipped up... I thought that they could have tuned down the wandering around too... rest was fine... he was a overwrought and they needed to show his pain... after all he is hit with the double dhamaaka of his mother's desertion and revelation and father's possible loss...

Agree with that...! Poor boy keeps getting hit from all angles...at least he has his job and Paro is hell bent on taking care of him...that can't be all that bad...😆

Again a short post, Sush. Love reading your posts.
Yesterday's episode was emotionally charged and well enacted by SanIsh. Ashish was good and gave restrained emotions when San was in the frame, for me his individual scenes were kind of overdone and he needs to tone down a bit in such scenes. After yesterday's episode i can for sure say that San brings out the best in her costars.
I'm loving the new Paro more and more, strong and sensible. Her scenes with mamisa and Aman were good.

Hi Malini...
She does make them look more attractive for sure...😆
I am loving her new Avatar...😃
