I agree with you whole heartedly. Hate the way that the writers portray the perfect wife, DIL, mother as an all sacrificing, all goodness doormat. That is not the way of the world. There is no harm in a woman having aspirations for herself after marriage and motherhood. And without the interference of a socially and humanitarian (Damn correct) illiterate mother in law who only wants to see the best for her darling son. Really gets on my tits the way that these so called progressive writers think they are doing women a service. I want more independent women who respect themselves. What Gopi is doing by giving up her job in Bhopal is giving into the family, especially Baa and Parag are so impotent that they cannot sort out or fix their family and task Gopi to do it.

This is how it is in MM today..

Ahem does not need Gopi.

Koki does not want her. Both have Vidya and they care only about that and about their grief forMeera. To heck with anyone else's emotions

Parag wants Gopi to fix Ahem

Baa and Hetal want Gopi to fix the family

Rashi wants Gopi to organize and housekeep

No one n mm wants Gopi because she is herself. When Rashi ran away, Koki and Hetal adviviced Jigarthat inspire of her mistakes, she is his wife and hence got her home. They fixed her.

But Gopi is sent on a guilt trip and is wanted for her general skills..

While Hetal and Koki ordered Jigar around, no one dares tell Ahem, fix your relationship or ask for divorce and man up..

They want to sit back and let Gopi do the fixing. Afterall she is the ex unpaid gawar who they picked up and brought home.. She better be faithful and useful😡

Gopi needs to stop if they are saying they dont need you then my dear i agree with Xarina that Gopi enrols Vidya at school, gets a job not get back into the politics of modis, let them find out for themselves.

agree but Gopi needs to see that for herself, we dont want her to fix ahem or kokila let them lie in their bed, gopi needs to work not at modis
