Thanx 111192(ur name.?.)😊

My point was that the same situation Jalal also faced and that time he kept his promise above 2 things:
1. The Mughal Throne
2. Life of Jodha.

And, now the problem is same with Jodha.
So, how come we expect her to do something which EVEN Jalal could not do.?.
He kept EVEN the throne on stake.!.

Abhay, this is a simply brilliant post. You have so beautifully brought out this irrefutable fact that even Jalal gave vachans. And indeed, it is not the vachan per se that is Jodha's issue. The reason for the vachan is the real issue. The reason for keeping Sujamal meetings a secret is to protect the life of Sujamal from Jalal's farman ... and if Sujamal is kept alive only the real culprit who is a threat to Jalal's life can be located and eliminated. In a way the vachan is for ultimately protecting Jalal's life via protection of Sujamal's life!
Okay now I want to say a few words on the other underlying issue addressed in your post ...that some parts of the forum have a very narrow view of things and tend to get extremely petty on extremely hardened positions for or against any one character.
Thankfully we do not have these types coming to this thread of mine in my daily posts, and even if at all some members of the one-sided fraternity do come here occasionally, they try to show some balance in their posts on my thread, because I guess they know that their usual bullying tactics won't work here where everybody is positive and balanced. My objective is to set a good example of common-sense and fair-play in my opening post each day, so that everyone coming to this thread will also come in appreciation of balance and dignified writing and will contribute their best 360-degree ideas and in setting good standards here.
You are one of the most balanced people I know in this forum and your efforts to research thoroughly and give us so much vital information is laudable.. It makes the serial most enjoyable for all of us here if we know the historical background so that we can gauge how much is fictionalised in this serial and how much is following history. Your work brings alive all the characters and plots for us. So do keep up the good work.
As for those who are one-sided in their approach, you will notice that most often they are forced to be belligerent and rude and aggressive - but that itself shows the weakness of the points they make. If the points were forceful and fair there would be no need for aggressiveness in behaviour, isn't it? And even if their points are right, when they act aggressive or rude they are putting people off from reading their points ... which is equal to scoring a self-goal!
Let us - the balanced opinion lot - keep up good standards of discourse and decency and dignified conversation in this thread. There are a majority of people with sane thinking and smart ideas on this forum. We need not heed the marginal few with rancour and spite and one-sidedness. They are too few and their points are so flimsy that they need not bother us.

Hi Mansi,

Finally i am going through your thread now.
And saw many interesting views by members here.
Some agreeing and some differing and very much enjoyed reading every point of all members.

The only thing which i like the most here is BALANCED opinion is very much present, be it for Jodha or Jalal. Atleast we can SEE the shackles of circumstances which both Jodha and Jalal face NOW.

Rest of the points. I agree with them. Thanx for your posts.!.

Ayesha,
Your posts, whichever i have read in the last few days, were fabulous, wherein you compared Jalal and Jodha on a case by case basis. Keep going.
Especially, the post where you brought out Jalal's dilemma. Poor guy.😕

Still to sum up the posts would like to mention ::
The ability to choose one's course of action in adverse circumstances is the last of all Human Freedoms which nature has bestowed upon mankind.

It all started with that "promise", and that is the MOST prominent factor is this entire confusion. No one knew that the promise would prove so much dangerous, and regarding why she Can't break the promise, the same RULE applied to Jalal also and he preferred his "Zubaan" over the throne and second time over a life..

Here, the circumstances have played the spoilsport. And remember, circumstances are beyond our control but how we act and conduce ourselves is the ability of ONEself. Right now the situation is TOO tricky..!!.. Lets see how things unfold now..!!..
