Bollywood really has done a pathetic job in casting young male leads in movies. Who are the new crop of actors.
Ideally a movie project is thought of. They hold auditions open to actors of the country. They chose the ones best for the role. But this has not happened.
Out of all the new comers whom are men. The only ones I can think of whom are not related to a movie producer, director, actor and getting descent commercial films are Ranveer Singh and Siddharth Maholtra. Out of a population of a billion that is pathetic.
I mean how long are they going to cast young women with men who are old enough to be their fathers.
3 films in question.
Dhoom 3. The leads should have gone to a younger men. Yes, Amir Khan toned his body, got Botox etc but he looks old. I mean he could play the boss. Then they cast Abhishek. What is he 45 year old. It just looks ridiculous.
3 idiots- Amir Khan did a wonderful job. Excellent film but he did not look like a college student. I mean it looked like a person who had failed the final exam numerous times. Once again that role should have gone to a younger man.
Chennai Express- deepika and Shah Rukh Khan. The movie was alright but once again that role should have gone to a younger man.
Cocktail- 2 young girls living in London. Who is the guy they are shacked up with. A 50 year old named Saif Ali Khan. Once again they should have held Audtions and cast a younger male lead.
Also I did not mention Ranbir Kapoor, Imran Khan, Varun Dhawan, and Aditya. They may have the talent to act and earned their place, but they also happened to be related to either directors, producers or actors so they would not have gone through the same casting process as an actor.
