The problem isn't necessarily the right' to express an opinion but rather the civility expressed exercising that right. True over use of report' button discourages freedom of expression or a healthy discussion, but at the same time members are discouraged, if they are openly mocked, abused and called names like moron' and their posts misinterpreted and misconstrued. To me, everyone must be heard out with politeness and civility without bashing. I hardly comment these days in this forum or in IF, but the one thread I ventured out an opinion here, a member jumped and bashed me openly and rudely calling names and misconstruing my post...I am sure, that doesn't encourage healthy discussion either. Shouldn't we be discussing our POV in a neutral tone both keeping our emotions under control and giving the other person same respect that we ourselves deserve and demand?

True ^, that could be the ideal way to deal with the situation. But I am hardly a perfect human being (rather far from it) and so do retort back. Besides, it hurts to get be insulted...how much does it cost anyone to be polite and civil to a fellow being?
