Because of this latest promo, some people are pro Jalal and others might pro Jodha.
But I can't take side because I love them both and also I am blaming CV for they are incapable to build a well-rounded character for the leads.
Jalal's character...
CVs are inconsistent in portraying Jalal's character and make him behaves likes a tsunami which brings disaster within seconds and then calm after a few seconds. I felt that in order to keep the element of surprise and the TEDAness of Jalal, they used too much open interpretation style in Jalal's plot and lines that end up making us all confused and the TEDA Jalal looks like a fool.
And worse, when their saw opportunity for them to use other characters or plot before Jalal's plots are nicely concluded, they pushed Jalal aside like what they did in Rukku's case in Tasneem track. The result, Jalal became a king that can't even solve the small family problem and Jodha is forever the super heroin...
Some said that Jalal has proves that he is one fine husband materials and he did a lot for her and I agreed.
But, until now his ego and insecurity about abandoned issues had prevented him from being 100% truthful to Jodha about how he feels about her. That is why you see so many times that she is confuse and asking why he is so nice sometimes but also mean at certain points. One of the evidence is when Jodha talked about Jalal with Moti during her hair treatment' process after the poison. Plus, she also couldn't understand why he was so mean to her like after THE PUSH. We know what was really happened but both of them didn't, so she really didn't understand why. Can we blame Jodha for failing to see this good side as a husband? No.
But can we blame him? No, it is normal for a child who grew up in his childhood environment to feel insecure about love and heart related issues. And it is normal for him not to trust anyone other than those who already proof their loyalty' to him. And for this track, we can't blame him too because I am sure he will give Jodha ample time to explain but when she failed to do so, he will explode.
Jodha's character...
Some said, Jodha needs to learn her lesson that she is too a human that makes mistakes. Does Jodha's character is really like that? Is she is someone who sees only someone else's fault? But I saw differently when she is with Salima and HB.
So, here, the problem is 100% on CV. The CV loves to portray her character as too perfect and flawless till she became emotionless that sometimes we can't relate to her and felt that she is so out of reach especially or maybe only when she is with her husband, Jalal. And like other fighter for the greater good serial's superwoman...they make her become the unpaid lecturer for her supposed to be Akbar The Great husband. Instead of making Jodha grow together with Jalal, they make Jalal grow because of her.
The confusion began when CVs also try to add some elements for viewers to understand Jodha by portraying that her is a human too, which always has flaws. And we can see it when she is with anyone other than her husband of course. It is clashing with the flawless avatar they used for her most of the time when she is around Jalal. At the end, we can see only a huge hole in her character as Jalal's soulmate. And instead of seeing a fighter for the rights, fiery and wise, wife of Jalal who has a very deep understanding that royalty like her and him are imperfect humans (as she told her praja in miscarriage track) and should learn from mistakes too, we only saw a very ignorant wife who saw only her husband's flaws but never hers.
For this track, to be fair for her character, up until now Jalal never trusts her without evidence even during that fake pregnancy; Salima was the one who urged him to continue believing that she might not guilty too. His blind trust for her just began to surface when she drank the poison for him and she still doesn't know or use to this kind of trust from his side yet. So, why should she believe that he will trust her this time without any prove that Sujamal is not guilty? Just because he said that she can tell him anything now and that he will completely trust her, doesn't mean she can just trust him just like that.
Even I can't do that too, in my mind, it is too good to be true so I better stick to reality and wait and see if I can believe him. If a guy treats me like Jalal did (from Jodha's POV, rules out all things that we as a viewers knew), I'll also be confused and thinking if he sincerely likes me or not? And even thinking if he ever likes me at all? You may say "Open your eyes and you'll know it". But dear, in love, I can't help but to use my heart to see ...and remember... The Platters used to sing "When your heart is on fire, you must realise... smoke gets in your eyes"...
Is it the actor's fault?
Before I continue, please understand that I am not a pro Rajat or pro Paridhi. I love PariJat equally and I strongly believe that JA can't be JA without both of them.
Some said they don't know if Jodha character is emotionless and unreadable because of Paridhi's acting skill is not good, but I blame CV 100% again.
Why? I think Paridhi's acting skill is very good. Maybe she still needs a little more polishing but she is very good. After all, this is her first try as a leading actor so give her some breaks. But, I saw the sadness and the feeling of lost in Jodha's eyes when Jalal walked out of her room after the Holi accident that drive her to try to kill herself. Nowadays, I saw how her eyes suddenly full with happiness when she heard Jalal is coming to her room. I saw how worried she was for Jalal's safety during the 'polo' game and how she was mesmerised by Jalal's new look for the game.
I think...just like they didn't really make use of Rajat's multi skills in acting such as sword fighting and horse riding till few last episodes (only a few seconds), they also don't use Paridhi's skills to the fullest too...These CVs are really wasting the producer's money ...
If only CV...
If only CV allows Jodha's character to grow slowly as Jalal's wife by making her try to get to know and understand him rather than spend her time only talking about him with Moti like Jalal obviously try to learn about her since her suicide attempt...where is the CV who wrote the scene where Dadi-sa taught Jodha that as a wife she must get to know and understand her husband preferences when Jodha was engaged to Suryaban?
If only CV allows Jodha's character to felt more empathy for her husband like she always does with others...
If only CV allows the plot to grow as "Jodha Akbar" the epic love story not as "Jodha: The journey of Mughal's queen"...
