Asin-Salman in Hindi Pokkiri

As oneindia.in had written earlier, Asin, the number one heroine of southern cinema, has moved to her new house in Mumbai. At present, she is moving in to a rental apartment in Andheri West, but she has plans to purchase a house in Juhu, the elite area of Bollywood stars. In Kollywood, Asin rejected all mega offers and is concentrating more on her first Hindi film Gajini with Aamir Khan.

The latest news is that the actress will plays the lead lady role against Salman Khan in the Hindi remake of Pokkiri, being produced by Boney Kapoor. She will play the same role in Tamil Pokkiri also. As we have already written, the actress is being offered a few more mega projects in Hindi. Rakesh Mehra of Rang De Basanti fame has confirmed her role in his dream project Dilli -6. As far as acting in Tamil films is concerned, she will be completing Dasavatharam and will not be doing another Tamil film in the near future.

When I contacted Asin regarding her Bollywood debut, the actress replied in excitement, 'I had never dreamed about this opportunity in my life. Thanks to Murugadoss and Aamir Khan. It is true that I got some more offers in Hindi. At present, I have signed for a film with Salman Khan and a movie being directed by Rakesh Mehra. Don't think that I will forget Tamil after my Bollywood debut. I'm always willing to do films in Tamil. But after the release of Dasavatharam only, I can allot my call sheets for the new Tamil projects'.

next sridevi? puh-lease. sridevi is a legend. asin is nowhere near one. and if she wants to survive in bollywood, she needs to lose a lot of weight & stop sticking to just bubbly roles. you need more than luck to survive in bollywood.😊

She's an excellent actress. According to bollywood standards she may be a little fat, but what she has is spontaneous expressions. She is one heroine who can give the others a run for their money.

im not d 1 hu says dat yaar..... critics n ppal says dat ,i c u dont like her....... its k,😆😛i no very lita tamil so im happy dat i cn c her in hindi movies so i cn understand d films😆😆shes my fav tami actress n abt her weight... shes soooo fine d way she is 😛

no yaar. asin is okay with me. i don't hate her but she's definitely not my favourite. asin may be fine the way she is but in bollywood, plumpy actresses are not welcome the way svelte bombshells are.😉

the comparison with sridevi just made me mad, asin is not even one BW film old. how can she be compared with sridevi? and don't worry ruwanplk, i am not mad at you but at the way this article is phrased.

and speaking of her acting, she did nothing special in 'Ghajini'. i've watched that film more than 10 times & all asin did in it was to ham. and whether she'll give tough competition for the other actresses, let's wait & see. no point counting your chickens before they hatch.😊

Actually, I've seen Ghajini, and was very impressed with her acting in that. Her other movies were ok, but she did an applaudable job in Ghajini😊

Anyway, still waiting to see how the bollywood audience reacts to her. If she is being introduced by Amir and Salman, I see her career going pretty far.
