To me, it looks like Sushant has greenlighted the project but all this is at a very nascent stage (the name of producer also wasn't there in the article), hence no confirmations and announcements. Also, he might not have signed it officially bcos of the same reason.

The cast does change a lot before the film eventually is announced or goes on floors, so yes, waiting for an official announcement would be best.

My guess is that its Viacom and I think its reliable.

But doubt Deepika being the heroine...the girl's part wouldn't be much in the film.
