Aastha will be bumped off!

Astitva has been in the midst of controversy of late. With one of its protagonists threatening to quit the show, the scenario had indeed become shaky for the entire unit. But not anymore!

Director Ajai Sinha has decided to end the role of Aastha aka Yuvika Chaudhary in the show in a dramatic manner. He will eliminate Aastha's character instead of replacing Yuvika with another actor. "Aastha is going to die in a car accident in the show. Though we haven't shot the portion yet, I can assure you that it will have shock value," he reveals.

The episode will be aired early in October. Why kill the character? It could've been replaced? The man says he intentionally chose not to replace Aastha with another actress because "Replacements are clichd and everybody has been doing them. Personally I don't like them but sometimes it is the only option left to a director." His show has been running successfully on Zee TV for almost three years now.

Sinha has another surprise in store for the viewers. "Aastha's death will take the story to a different level. It will also change Dr. Simran's life and personality," he says. However, he denies rumours that the show is nearing its end, "How can Astitva end? In a few weeks from now we'll introduce a new character. We are planning to rope in a big name but no one has been finalised as yet." Talking about big names, what happened to his plans for getting Harsh Chaaya back on the show? Hadn't he announced that the actor would return? "There were talks but nothing came of it," he says matter-of-factly. "Harsh had his reservations about playing an older character. As a director, I imagine and visualise a lot of things but it's not always possible for them to happen," he adds ruefully. The director first had trouble with Abbas Khan and now it looks like he's having trouble with the other newcomer, Yuvika. "A talented actor always aims to retain the potential he has, if not move ahead. The new breed of actors lack dedication and patience. They are all in a big hurry. That is something that I cannot handle," he signs off without dropping names.

Now it is Simran's turn to go away and medidate and bring up orphaned kids as a repentence for all the un-intended grief that Astha has been given.

Maybe they could show that Aastha gets into an accident, damages her face, gets plastic surgery done and emerges as a whole new character 😆

they shud ave shown dat she takez a drug overdose or sumthin coz kiran haz got her addicted to drugz!!

Now, I have a hope to wait for yet another car accident or similar whick takes off Sia.

Out of new young characters introduced, I think she is the only one left in the show. Is it possible that Sia is not getting other openings while Yuvika and Abbas got. There's another possibility that Sinha is abusing child labour and Sia is ready to work for less money 😉 😃
