Aastha entered the cabin, panic had gripped her.
"So Miss Aastha Kirloskar," said Shlok, "show me the report!"
Aastha did not know what to say. She was silent.
"Can't you hear? I am talking to you!! Where is the report?"
"Sir I have completed the report..." said Aastha.
"Then where is it? Ghar par rakh ke aane ke liye nahi kaha tha maine...!!"
"Sir, actually..." she paused, "actually I have brought the report with me... but..."
"But what?!"
"But Sir... uh... I am unable to find it right now..." said Aastha in a low voice.
"What!!!" cried Shlok. "You think I am a fool to believe all this rubbish?!! I had already warned you that I wont torelerate any excuses... Hadn't I?!!"
"Y..yes Sir..." said Aastha in a trembling voice. "Sir I had kept it on the table in M-112 before lunch. Now the file is not there... I searched a lot for it but couldn't..."
"Enough!!!!" interrupted Shlok. "Every time, every time you prove how irresponsible you are...!!"
"Sir, I have done the report... Please believe me Sir!" urged Aastha. "Someone among the team (or probably you) must have kept it somewhere..."
"And why would anyone do this?" Shlok questioned.
"How mean!!" thought Aastha.
"And why should I believe you have done the report?" asked Shlok.
"Sir I have done it!!! You can ask..." Aastha was about to take the name of Rahul, but she realised that she was not supposed to tell it. "Err, you can ask the team! They all have seen the report...!"
"Woh toh main poochh hi lunga..." Shlok said, "The question still remains... Where... is... the... Report?!!"
"Sir I told you, it..."

Just then Riya entered to tell Shlok that peon wanted Shlok's signature on some papers. Shlok told her to send him in.
The peon came in and gave some papers for Shlok to sign on. The peon saw Aastha standing there.
"Arey, Aastha Madam!" he exclaimed, "Achha hua aap yahin pe mil gayi...!!" he said.
The peon handed a file to Aastha, "Kya yeh file aap ki hai?"
Aastha took the file in her hand and checked it.
"Yeh toh wohi file hai!!" she exclaimed as she jumped on her place in excitement. "Thank you Bappa!!"
"Thank you so much... Aaj toh aap ne meri jaan bacha li...!!" said Aastha as Shlok watched her, irritated. "Lekin yeh file aap ko kahan mili?" Aastha asked the peon.
"Jab woh log kachara leke jaa rahe thay toh maine dekha ki ek kachare ke dabbe mein yeh file hai...Mujhe thoda ajeeb laga...Maine file nikaal ke saaf ki... Dekha toh iss pe aap ka naam likha hua tha... Isliye maine socha phenkne se pehele aap se ek baar poochh loon...!!"
"Aap ne bohot achha kiya jo file le aaye...!! Thank you!!" said Aastha, very glad.
The peon left.

"Sir! Here's the report!!" said Aastha proudly as she handed over the report to Shlok.
Shlok went throught the report. He was quite impressed but he didn't show that. He just wanted a reason to scold Aastha, but the report didn't give him any whatsoever.
"Tumhein yeh event timepass lagta hai?!" he scolded.
Aastha was confused. "No Sir, infact this is a very important event for me. This is my first ever live project Sir, it means a lot to me...!!
"Then what was this file doing in the dust bin?!!!"
"I really don't know Sir... I had kept it on..."
"Do you ever know anything?!!"
"Sir, I have worked hard to complete the report... Raat bhar jaag ke maine yeh report banaya hai, main kyun isay kachre mein phenk doongi...? Why would I throw it away Sir?!!" she said, trying to convince.
Shlok just stared angrily at her. "Whatever!!! You may leave now... aur aagay se main koi laparvahi bardasht nahi karunga... I wont tolerate this any more...!!! Do you get it?!!"
Aastha didn't say anything. "Khud sab kuchh kar rahe hain, aur daantte mujhe hain... huh!!" she thought as she left the cabin.

"Thank you Bappa, aaj toh aapne bacha liya!!" Aastha said as she walked to M-112. "But who put the file in the dust bin? Shlok Sir? But he had not even arrived when all this happened... then how could he do it? No... it was someone else...! Shlok Sir must have told someone else to do all this.. But now the team is on my side... Then why is all this still happening? Is it someone else who is doing this? Someone who is not in the team, someone from outside, someone not related to this project? Who can it be that Shlok Sir is taking help from?" wondered Aastha. "I need to find out!"

Days were passing by. The team was working hard under Aastha's leadership. Everything was going perfectly according to the plan. Neither did Shlok know of Aastha's plan nor did he know that Aastha knew about his!

The day of the event was approaching, with only a week left. The team was working in the room as usual when Aastha's phone began ringing. It was Riya.
"Hello.."
"Aastha, Shlok Sir wants to see you in his cabin right now!"
"Okay, I will be there..."
The call ended.

Aastha knocked on the door of Shlok's cabin. "Come in..." was the reply.
Aastha walked in. She had decided not to be loose in front of Shlok whatever happens.
"How's everything going?" asked Shlok.
"Great, Sir!" replied Aastha, beaming with confidence.
"So, is the presentation ready?" he smirked.
"Presentation?!!" Aastha was shocked and confused at the same time. "Sorry Sir, but which presentation?"
"The presentation about the event!!! Didn't I tell you about it day before yesterday?!!"
"No Sir, you didn't!!"
"Ohhh... I must have forgotten to tell you..." he showed to be sad.
Aastha understood that Shlok was playing with her.
"No problem... I am telling you now... Tomorrow you have to give a presentation about this event as it will be on the final day...!!"
"Tomorrow?!!! But Sir there is not enough time for..."
"Oh stop giving excuses!!" yelled Shlok. "You should have known by now that I hate excuses...!!"
Aastha stared at him. "How can you do this?!!!" she thought.
"Okay... so tomorrow sharp at 5 pm, you will give a presentation in the auditorium. Be there on time!!" he said in a teasing tone and left the cabin leaving Aastha in a fix.

Aastha was up that night preparing the presentation. She wanted it to be perfect. She did not want to leave anything loose for Shlok to criticize her. She had not told anything at home, of all that was going on with her at the office. She didn't want her family to be tensed.

The next day, Aastha went to office all prepared. She had the presentation on a CD as well as a back-up on her pen drive.

Everyone was busy in their work. Aastha was preparing herself for the presentation. Just then Rishab came in and told everyone that the things they had ordered for the event had arrived at the store. Everyone got up to go check whether everything was as ordered. There were only few hours left for the presentation to begin.
"Why don't you all go check the arrivals... I will wait here, I need a bit more preparation!" suggested Aastha.
Others agreed.
"All the best darling," said Avi. "I am sure you will do great!" he said with a wink.
Aastha smiled. She felt good.
"Yeah, all the best Aastha!" others wished her luck.
"Okay Aastha, we will leave now... See you at the auditorium!" said Shikha.
Aastha nodded and the others left.

Aastha verified again and again whether she had included every detail. She didn't want to give Shlok any chance this time. After some time, she checked her watch.
Her phone rang. It was Rahul.
"Hello Aastha! Prepared for the presentation?"
"Yes Sir, almost!! Just a bit nervous..."
"Ah don't be nervous Aastha... Believe in yourself!! And I know you will be fantastic!!"
"Thank you Sir!"
And the phone got disconnected as Aastha phone battery died.

Aastha felt encouraged after the call. Rahul was such a strong support for Aastha!
Aastha felt confident now. If others believe in me, why shouldn't I?

Suddenly, the power supply to the room was cut off! The lights, the A/C system, the computers everything turned off.
"Yeh achanak kya ho gaya?" thought Aastha as she looked out through the door. Everything seemed fine outside. Only the supply to M-112 was cut off!
"What is happening?" wondered Aastha as she walked to the door to check. She pushed the door, but...
Oh My God!! The door wasn't opening!! Aastha pushed it harder but no use... The door was locked from outside!! Aastha tried to shout, but as it was a sound-proof room, her sound wouldn't reach out. She banged on the door, but there was no one around to notice.
The room had no windows. There was no ventilation now...
Aastha tried a lot to open the door but in vain. Gradually, she began feeling suffocted in the closed room. Her throat completely dry. She felt very thirsty. She could see the cooler in front of the room but there was no chance she could reach there as the door was locked.
She got hold of her phone to call someone... But then realised that her phone was switched off as her battery had got discharged.
It was 5 pm already. She tried to shout as loud as she could, but that was of no help.

Aastha was breathing hard, gasping for air, slowly losing her consciousness...
She was trapped!!
