S he's known as the red-haired girl who made her debut in Remix. New role Priya Wal is now playing the brattish daughter of Renuka Shahane in Jeete Hain Jiske Liye (Sony). She says Deeya and Tony Singh had seen her in Remix and approached her for the role. She gave a screen test and they felt she suited the role. Initially, she was apprehensive about taking up a daily soap but the line-up of artistes and an interesting role were tempting to refuse. Second break Wal says, "Ayesha is today's girl. She is lovable, childish, stubborn and has a strong personality. But she's not a rude person. "She is a little complicat- ed because she has grown up without her mother's presence." Although she hasn't begun shooting with Shahane yet, she states. "I shot for a promo with Ayub Khan and Ashwini (Kalsekar). It's awesome working with such stal- warts. I hope to learn a lot from their experience." A model from Delhi, Yuvraj was busy with his ramp shows and modelling for premium products when he auditioned for the role of Rahul and was selected. Cool dude His role is that of a pam- pered boy who has been looked after by his aunt. She has spoilt him silly in the absence of his mother. He says, "I sport an Al Pacino kind of look. I've been given jackets, chains, boots and jeans. Rahul is this cool dude with loads of attitude." Learning curve Though Jeete Hain..is a woman-oriented show, Yuvraj states. "It feels great that I am playing Renuka Shahane's son. I've already got two offers from Star Plus. One of them is the main lead in the new sea- son of Sanjeevani. "Right now I am bound by a one-year contract. Though the producers are flexible, I would rather concentrate on Jeete Hain..."
