EK ANOKHI KAHAANI - Part 11

All the team members were standing outside, worried. They were banging the door.
"Aastha... Please open the door yaar...!!" said Shikha.
"Haan Aastha, we are sorry yaar... please open the door..!!" cried Avi.
"Stop this drama Aastha... and come out!" said Dolly.
They all were hoping that Aastha was fine. They were trying their best to console Aastha. But she didn't open the door.
"I think we should call Shlok Sir...!" suggested Sonali.
"No!!" cried Shikha. "He wanted all this... He wont bother about Aastha..." she said. "Someone please call Rahul Sir...!!"
"But Rahul Sir is on leave..." stated Rishab.
"I know, but if he is in Pune, he will surely come...!!" said Shikha. "Please make it fast!"

Varun called up Rahul. Fortunately, Rahul was in Pune.
"Sir, there's a situation here... Could you please come here Sir? It is urgent. Aastha is..."
"Aastha?!! What happened to her??"
"Sir, it is not possible to tell everything on phone..."
"Okay... I will be there in 15 minutes!!"
The phone call ended.
"Rahul Sir will be here soon!" informed Varun.

"Aastha!" called out Shikha. "Please open the door dear... We will talk it out! Don't worry..."
"Aastha?!" called out Avi.
There was no reply whatsoever from within.
Now everyone was more worried. Why was Aastha not replying? Was she alright? Had anything happened to her? Why was there no sound or movement from within?
Everyone tried a lot to speak to Aastha, but in vain.

Rahul reached there.
"Kya ho raha hai yahan? What's going on?" he asked looking at the scnario. "And where is Aastha?"
Everyone told him what had happened. He was shocked to know all this.
"What!! Shlok told you to do all this?" he exclaimed.
"Yes Sir, and we had no other choice..." said Shikha sadly.
"How could he do this? And how could you all... huh"
Rahul went ahead.
"Aastha!" he called out. "I got to know everything right now... I am really sorry for what happened. But don't worry, I am here now. We all will sort this out...! Everything will be alright, I promise...!"
There was no reply.
"Aastha?!" Rahul called out again.

There was a "click" sound as the door opened. They all were relieved to see Aastha fine. Her eyes were red and swollen. She seemed exhausted.
"Aastha, are you alright?" Shikha went forward and held Aastha by her shoulder.
Aastha did not reply. She just walked ahead silently. How could she be alright after all that had happened?
Rahul pulled up a chair.
"Come... sit here..." said he to Aastha.
Aastha sat down. Pranav brought a bottle of water. Aastha drank some.
"Arey you okay?" asked Rahul.
Aastha looked a him. "Why is he doing this to me?" she asked in a wet voice. Her eyes watered.
Rahul felt bad. Everyone fely sorry for Aastha.
"Only he knows the answer to this!!!" said Rahul thoughtfully. "But whatever he is doing is absolutely not right!!" said he, angry with Shlok.
Aastha had still not come out of the shock.
"Don't worry Aastha, I have got a plan!" said Rahul.
Everyone listened curiously.
"See, Shlok wants Shikha and team's concept to be there at the event, and not Aastha's. So, he wont be paying much attention to what you all are working on as he knows Shikha and you all are well experienced. So here's what you all will do..."
And he explained the plan to Aastha and the others. Everyone admired Rahul's plan.
"And be very careful... Shlok should not get to know this till the event is done... Did everyone get it?"
Everyone nodded.
"Don't worry Sir, I will handle Shlok Sir!!" said Shikha.
"Yeah yeah...why not?" teased Rahul. "By the way, we all know you have a crush on Shlok!" he winked.
Everyone giggled. Shikha was surprised. "You know it?!!" she exclaimed and blushed away.
Aastha was shocked. "Iss akdu ko koi like kaise kar sakta hai?!!" she thought.
Aastha was still sad.
"But when Shlok Sir will come to know this, what will happen then?" she asked.
"Don't worry Aastha... Rahul Sir is there with you..." said Avi. Rahul nodded. "And we all are there too...!" Avi added.
Aastha felt better now.
"Okay, now everyone get to work and everything should seem normal... okay?" said Rahul. "And yes, Shlok should not know I was here...!! Get it?!"
"Yes Sir!" said everyone.
"Aastha, should I drop you home?" asked Rahul.
"No Sir... I will be fine..." said Aastha.
"Are you sure?"
Aastha nodded.
"Thank you so much Sir!" she said.
"No need to say that Aastha... And whenever you have any problem, don't hesitate to tell me...! Okay?!" said Rahul.
Aastha nodded with a smile. She was very thankful to have a boss like Rahul.
Aastha showed the sight inspection report to Rahul. He was quite impressed. He suggested Aastha a few corrections and changes. Now Shlok had no chance of rejecting the report!

Rahul left. Shlok had not arrived yet. Before leaving, Rahul told Mansi not to let anyone know of his arrival. Mansi assured him of that.

Later, Aastha came to submit the sight inspection report to Shlok. She had made the required changes as told by Rahul. She took the prints of the respective pages again and compiled the final report.
But at the reception, Mansi told Aastha that Shlok had not arrived yet. Aastha returned to work telling Mansi to inform her when Shlok came.

"Report dikhaya?" asked Shikha as Aastha came in. "What did he say?"
"He hasn't come yet..." said Aastha as she kept the file on the table and joined the others.
Everyone was engrossed in their respective work. Soon it was lunch time. Aastha checked whether Shlok had come, but he had not.

Aastha met Shruti and Aakash during lunch and told them everything. They were shocked too.
"How can Shlok Sir be so cruel?" said Shruti.
"Exactly!! But good that atleast Rahul Sir understands you!" said Aakash.

After lunch, as Aastha was passing by the reception, Mansi informed her that Shlok had come. Aastha went to M-112 to get the report file. The room was locked as others had not come yet. She opened the door and went in to get the file that she had kept on the table.
But she was shocked!! The file was not on the table!!
"Yahin toh rakhi thi...!" thought Aastha as she searched everywhere.
But the file was nowhere to be found! Aastha became tensed and restless.
"Where did the file go...? What will I do now?" she thought.
She checked the whole room, all the shelves and cupboars as well... But the file wasn't there.
"Maybe, someone from the team has kept it somewhere... I will ask everyone when they come..." she thought.

Just then, there was a knock at the door. Aastha looked in the direction hoping it was a team member. But alas, it was a peon.
"Aastha Madam, Shlok Sir ne aap ko bulaya hai report leke...!" he told.
Aastha shivered. "Oh no!! what will I tell Shlok Sir now!!"
The peon was waiting for her to come along.
Aastha reached Shlok's cabin. The peon opened the door for Aastha to enter. Aastha could hear her heartbeats in her ears.
"Bappa, bacha lena... Please help me!!"
