I know most of u are gonna think that who cares its just a serial. I know it's a serial but I have a lot of people saying in another post that the hug between ayat and Zain is okay.
If u do not belong to islam. Then sure. It cute lovely and it doesn't matter
But it is not a small thing in islam.
Zain and Ayat are cousins. And cousins are never sis and bro in islam. They are not Mahram. Mahram is by the way someone u can't marry. And jeju and sahli are not mahram. They can get married. Zain can marry ayat for the second time if he wants. Even if Zain touches ayat. It's a sin
And u guys are saying hug. "Oh no it's just for comfort"
Only mahram can hug each other example real sis and bro
Dad and daughter or mamu and Bhanji but never cousins. If two sali and jeju are caught hugging in a muslim community even if they have no wrong intentions... It is gonna create a big drama. This new generation is going far from islam ... Obeying Allah and following what Allah has said is very important. And Allah had not allowed hugs between cousins. And if we do .. No matter for niceness or comfort believe it.. Or not .. We become sinful right away. People do a lot of things but simply say we never had the intention for it. Yes Allah does see the intention but. That does mean we can wear shorts or bikini and just simply say .. We don't have wrong intentions. We are not doing it to show it to people. But hey. U ate disobeying Allah . U ate doing something Allah had stopped us from. U are leaving yr body bare. Which is not allowed.
I know I am gonna find most of u disagreeing
And let me tell u . Those of u who will disagree
Are the ones who are doing these kind of stuff and simply blame the (intention) for it. On the day of judgement when Allah will ask u why u left u head uncovered? Are u gonna say . U had no intention for it. U never left it to show it to the makes. No u will still be thrown in hell for not following what Allah said. So please don't take such big issues so unseriously.

I understand the sentiments of the people on the forum that are Muslim.
However, I think it was made clear that Ayat and Zain have a brother and sister relationship before having a sister/brother-in-law relation. She has always called him bhaijaan while Aliya hasn't. This may also be because Ayat is much younger than Zain is and is considered kind of like a yonger sister by Zain. Like you said that God looks at intention, and the intention here wasn't that they are hugging due to intemacy but for pure comfort. So if God is the one to look at intention and judge then why are other people judging for no reason. I feel God will look at the fact that the girl required emotional support from a brother and Zain gave that to Ayat, he was in no way stealing her virtue or looking at her with lust.

As far as clothes go, then I believe that Ayat was wrong because she herself was feeling uncomfortable. Many people that are muslim flaunt their bodies and do not follow their religion...especially in the film industry nowadays. However, I also feel that you saying that God will send you to hell for NOT obeying them is also wrong. It isn't that simple taking a judgement and I hope you understand that. And even if there are people disagreeing, that doesn't mean they flaunt their bodies in a bikini, it just means that their beliefs and opinions are different.

Hijab is worn to protect women from having their virtues stolen and hidden so they do not provoke men (sexually). Just like most hindu women are asked to wear a modest sari and cover their faces with a ghunghat.
However, today we see that sexual abuse and rapes occur regardless of the clothing that women wear. It doesn't matter if you are fully covered or wearing a bikini...men's eyes are lurking anyway.

Anyhow...I won't go into much detail in that because obviously my belief and opinion on this matter contradicts yours. But, since these things are creating such a stir, I hope the makers are a bit more careful.

It depends on the kind of relationship you share with the person...I'm a Muslim and I come from quite a religious family too, but I do hug my cousin who is younger than me because he's just like my brother...

I wasn't going to say anything but since you made this post fully knowing that there's going to be a lot of disagreement. I'm going to share my views as well. And I'm muslim too.😊
You are right on certain things such as covering our heads and wearing proper clothing, and how no matter the intention if we don't obey it then yes we will pay the price for it on the day of judgement. However, I think you are wrong on the hug here because in this situation the intention does matter to Allah and to the muslim community. Zain just saved her from being raped u can say and Rocky was blackmailing her, as a Jiju and cousin he hugged her to comfort her and it's not like it last for like 10 mins or something. you make it sound like if a muslim even as much as touches a person that he/she is not mahram to then you just commited a huge sin. And are you telling me that the muslim community will make a big deal out of this hug instead of being thankful to Zain and praying that there are more boys like him in this world out there that will protect a girl's respect and dignity.

I'm not saying that the show is fully following our religion. Like Aaliya and Ayat wearing those dresses wasn't right and touching the Qu'ran without wuddu is DEFINITELY not right and no muslim can do that..no matter if their modern thinking or very old radical thinking. But there are some things that I feel that people are just making a fuss over for nothing.

Specially, Zain called Aayat his sister to Rocky! I don't find the hug wrong! No matter what, if your heart has no dirty things, it is right!

P.S: No offence to any religion!

To Princess who know so much about her deen, about how woman should behave towards non mahram man etc but if you really know your deen that much, do you know that watching TV also is a sin. Watching any sort of film whereby you are liking men who are not your mahram is also a sin. Also when the CV started a story with Muslim backgrounds which is very rare in the film industry, you as Muslim just appreciate don't ruin the beauty of the show. If you really care then make your own story with all the details missing in BI, the lead actress covering her face as per Islamic rule and watch the show yourself. Islam have never been so strict like you people think. Allah has just asked us to follow the Quran and teachings of the last Prophet (S.A.W) and we will never go astray. So please don't dramatize such an issue. And please don't commit sin by linking Religion & Film.

No u will still be thrown in hell for not following what Allah said.

I respect your opinion, but I do not agree. Yes, in today's day and age, most Muslims are not as conservative as those of the religion once were. This is because there has been a drastic change in society and acceptable societal behaviors since that time. There are many things that were acceptable back then, that are not so today. For example, it was common for young girls to get married to men three times their age. It was accepted by society. However, today I would think that even conservative Muslims would find that wrong. In vice versa, there are certain things that are acceptable today that once were not. This whole Mehram/non-Mehram concept...come on! Muslim women have to interact with non-Mehram's on a daily basis, be it in school, the workplace, or anywhere else. However, if they are covered and cordial, there is nothing wrong in it. You have to consider the era we live in to judge what is acceptable and what is not. But, that does not necessarily mean modern Muslims are all destined for Jahanam as you seem to be implying by stating that anyone who disagrees with you is wrong. The Muslim philosopher Abu Hamid Ibn. Muhammad al-Ghazali stated in On the Boundaries of Theological Tolerance in Islam that you and I are in no position to question Allah's mercy. Allah may show his mercy on whomever He will. Let me refer you to a hadith. The Prophet's wife, Ai'sha, saw three lights upon the Prophet's head. The first light signified seventy thousand people from the Prophet's community that would enter paradise with no punishment. The second light signified that for every one of the first seventy thousand people, seventy thousand more people from the Prophet's community would enter paradise with no punishment. Lastly, the third light signified that for every one of these seventy thousand people, seventy thousand more people would enter the paradise with no punishment. I hope that gives you some idea about the magnitude of Allah's mercy. In fact, the philosopher al-Ghazali suggests that it is better to refrain from deeming someone to hell based on your judgment of that person's character.

Coming to the hug between Zain and Aayat...Zain even proclaimed that he is Aayat's brother. He was protecting his little sister. I for one am very proud about the way he reacted. Not once did he question her character or honesty, and that is quite commendable in a society that always tries to deem the woman wrong. I agree with @Silver_19, we need more boys like him that will protect a girl's honor and dignity. So why make such comments and discourage men that respect and support women?
