This is so exaggerated and oh-so-filmy. LOL. If this is what they call a tragic life, what about the poor people with no money, no job, no food? lol
That famous "No. 1 actress" tag changes from Friday to Friday. In fact, who is No. 1 right now? Who is the best, most famous, most wanted actress? Like, who decides it, I really wanna know. For some it's Katrina, some say it's Bebo, others Dpad or PC. No one really knows which means there can be enough space for everybody.
People think Rani is completely gone but it's not because she's ONLY doing horrible films. She's done four films in the last 3 years. And ONLY 1 of them was a flop (Aiyyaa) and a very bad film IMO. It seems that ppl only remember your flops, not your performances or your hits.
It's also mainly because she does less movies now and has become extremely choosy. (she rejected Mary Kom like a fool) And I'm quite shocked about the fact that some directors still approach her and offer her roles. Not that she isn't talented, she is freaking talented. But most directors play it safe and choose the younger, hot actresses.
Until yesterday, Kangana was called "a talented but not so wanted actress with horrible english skills", today she is the Queen (pun intended). Now it's Bebo's turn. Til yesterday she was the bomb with looks and talent, now ppl hate on her and call her flop actress. Why are we so quick to write people off? Other actresses use their overactive PR to brainwash people into thinking that they're the No. 1 actress that gets aaall the offers and eeeveryone wants to work with 'em. So? Rani could easily do that and publish such articles, too. Maybe that would help, lol.
She did DBH, it flopped. Then NOKJ, which was a hit. After that she listened to Adi and trusted his "film making sense" and decided to do Aiyyaa, flopped. And after that film, she acted in hits like Talaash and Bombay Talkies.
Seriously. I'm not biased when I say this. She could do better of course.. but she is still doing well if you consider the fact that she's in her mid 30s, has screwed up her career, and now does very few films a year and despite all of that; she still is getting offers from directors like SLB and Zoya Akhtar (who has mentioned many times that she's dying to work with Rani). Not everyone has to carry the No. 1 tag. There is space for everybody.
Now we're waiting for Mardaani. The script needs to be bang on.
