if there are the above drawbacks in the media we have BUT there are many uncountable advantages also....

one of the most prominent factors in developing India is definitely media.... but as we say anything we get definitely has some faults...

not to forget there were many people caught offering/taking bribes... there are many politicians whose true faces got uneveiled due to loyal journalists...

in other words we can say JOURNALISTS do much more better worl than any POLICEMAN in our country... they introduce us with reality and try to show what exactly is happening without getting sold by any other person...

this is a healthy competitive place where in if one channel shows more reality, the other definitely tries to show even more to survive in that field...

but if one gets deviated from the main area of concerns to a very large extent just to be different & unique then that definitely gets noticed...... if it goes on, we may see news channels showing news by picturising the events occurred😳 literally...

one should understand that "Entertainment is also News" -NOT- "Only Entertainment is News"... (in hindi Entertainment b/hi News hai)

yes eggy jee, I watch that show on/off, but unfortunately whenever I watch I get to see family issues and complex relationships problems... I like the show - would definitely makes it sure to catch it now as it is something we all are really concerned about😛

Watched something today and was reminded of this post, wanted to share :

In one of the news channel they showed Mandira Bedi, in one the world cup programs, was wearing a Saree with flags of world cup particiating nations. Unfortunately appearance of India's flag was near her heels and channel started making big propoganda, in second half of program she changed the saree... and news channel taking all the credit of saving India's flag's respect.

Instance that again make me ask 😊 :
Has Indian media REALLY lost focus on news??

What were they raising the hue and cry for - wearing the flag or it being near the heels? Of course, they have lost focus - if the headlines consist of Raveena's dog being lost or some middle-aged professor in Bihar being beaten up by his wife after she caught him red-handed, or the said professor appearing with traces of the kaalikh that was painted on his face by his wife... the instances are numerous. What with 24-hour news channels and the consequent competition, there is a constant need for " breaking news" and sensationalism in any form will do. Not to forget the "live" reporters who have no command over any language, no sense of conducting a live interview, no idea what to ask, and their disgraceful fawning over 'big" names in the entertainment/sports arena.

Ok that was my rant for the day/night. 😃
