Why is OMKARA not considered one of BEBO's best performances?

Kareena was very good in Omkara, but compared to the performances of Saif, Ajay, Konkona, Naseer and even Vivek, her role did not give her much scope to do anything impressive!

It is not considered her best performance simply because it fades in comparison to the other spectacular performances in the film.

On a stand-alone basis, her performance in Omkara is probably her third career best, after JWM and Chameli.

The whole soul of the movie was Saif...he elevated an already beautiful script with his performance. I swear, now that performance deserved a National Award. I haven't seen anyone tap into a Shakespearean character so well and a complicated one like Iago. It's hard to notice anyone else in that movie when Saif was THAT good. But Kareena was the soul of JWM and Chameli. It happens sometimes but I don't think she was bad as Dolly, I just think Saif stole everyone's thunder.

filmfare critics usually went to the deserving ones like Tabu (Viraasat, Maachis etc) and shefali shah (Satya), Manisha for company and urmila for bhoot etc...

even karishma won the critics award for zubeidaa (not the popular)...

ON topic: i think kareena won one for Dev aswell as Omkara...i liked both the performances a lot..but like someone said, saif pretty much chewed everyone alive in that film...its hard to notice anyone else...

urmm...pathaka we all know how much critics awards carry importance, the ones it has meant to considered finished in the industry whether its karishma or urmila. whatever it is..there should be one award given in all to the actress which was loved by both the masses and the critics, and if its also a box office success then its a win - win.

Because her role is limited. The film was more about Ajay and Saif. But it is considered one of Bebo's best performance...people who hated her and thought she was a horrible actress..noticed she can act after watching Omkara. That is if they haven't seen Chameli already lol
