You've watched her dance, now you can hear her sing as well. Tanaaz Lal, who is currently rehearsing for her play, Dhoom Machade, is not just acting and dancing in it, but will also croon on stage.
Talking about Tanaaz's songs, hubby Bakhtyaar Irani says, "For the first time, the audience will get to hear Tanaaz sing.
Actually, after Nach Baliye 2, when we would perform in front of a live audience, I thought why not sing as well? Hence in Dhoom Machade, Tanaaz will be singing a medley of songs. However, these will be parodies of original Bollywood numbers."
For instance, she will be heard singing Phaad Daala, which will be a take off on Devdas's Maar Daala.
Bakhtyaar adds that he's super excited about his first joint venture with Tanaaz. "I am leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that Tanaaz Lal Productions is a hit.
The play is targeted at the family audience and doesn't have adult jokes that will make you uncomfortable," he says.
Worked hard
Bakhtyaar adds that the nearly two hour-long play will have three musical medleys. "We have worked hard to ensure that the music is well received." Apart from Tanaaz and Bakhtyaar, the show includes Hiten Paintal, Kishwar Merchant, Shama Sikandar and Dinyaar Contractor. Dhoom Machade opens at Rang Sharda on Sunday at 7.30 pm. |
