Shahid Kapoor to play the lead in Vikas Bahl's next, Shandaar

Shahid Kapoor, who recently wrapped the filming of Haider in Kashmir, has given the nod to good friend and director Vikas Bahl's next venture titled Shaandar
Shahid Kapoor, who recently wrapped the filming of Haider in Kashmir, has given the nod to good friend and director Vikas Bahl's next venture titled Shaandar. Kapoor had earlier stated that he will be announcing a couple of confirmed projects by the end of January and this happens to be one of them.
Interestingly, Shaandar has earned the privilege of being India's first film on destination wedding and Kapoor will be seen playing the lead in it. Bahl has roped in lyricist and writer Anvita Dutt Guptan to pen the dialogues and songs in the film. A source close to the project informed that if all goes well, the team will start shooting by mid-2014. The team is still on the look out for the female lead.
