Be it at international arenas or domestic talk shows, our Bollywood actors have often let us down with their ignorance, dim wit and silly comments. They have often shown how ignorant and unaffected they are by the current affairs. So busy are they doing up their hair and makeup that they even don't know who is the president of our country. Hence, we list some instances where our actors have thoroughly embarrassed us by being DUMB.
Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan: The younger generation of Bollywood have the perfect looks, envious bodies and oodles of confidence. However, what they lack is general knowledge. This was displayed when 'Student of the Year' actors Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan participated in 'Koffee With Karan'. The host Karan Johar asked Alia, "Who is the President of India?" The pretty actress confidently answered Prithviraj Chavan. If that dumb answer was not shocking, her co-star Varun Dhawan too stumped us with his ignorance as he said Manmohan Singh is the Indian President. Well we think both of them should be sent to class

Mallika Sherawat: The sex siren must have given US President Barack Obama a heart-attack after comparing herself with him. After meeting US President at an event in Washington, the actress compared her life story with his. Speaking to the media, she had said, "I feel that my life is the same as Obama's. I do not come from a film family, nor do I have a godfather. I'm from Haryana, but I changed the rules of the industry with my work and so has Obama." Well dear Mallika, we sure wonder what the President has to say about this? She is also dumb enough to claim that she is the first actor in India to kiss on-screen and wear a bikini.

Uday Chopra: The actor is known more for his antics than his acting ability. The actor has managed to amuse us with his open flirtatious banter with Nargis Fakri and his tall claims. However, what we found the funniest was when he once said, "I don't like being a Capricorn - I would prefer to be a Scorpio - I decided to change my birthday from 5th Jan to 5th Nov to be a Scorpio - I just love the traits of being a Scorpio - they can be mean and have a sting." Well Uday if only we could change our names too, then wouldn't you like to name yourself as Khan and Kapoor, what say?

Sonam Kapoor: Sonam Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's cold war is legendary. Both the actresses have been pitted against each other not only as brand ambassadors of international cosmetic brand L'Oreal but also as Indian representatives at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. However, while Aishwarya has always maintained dignity and silence, Sonam just proved that she is all beauty and no brains. A few years back when some journalist asked her about her rivalry with Aishwarya, she said, "Ash has worked with my dad, so I have to call her Aunty, na?" Anushka Sharma: The gorgeous actress has been in the news lately. After being spotted romancing Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and facing flak for getting a horrible lip job done, the actress also proved her how DUMB and uninformed she is. When she was asked 'Who is the Chief Minister of Maharashtra?' during the rapid fire round of chat show 'Koffee With Karan', she quickly answered Ashok Chavan. She spoke so confidently and without batting an eyelash. We wonder what Prithviraj Chavan has to say about this.

Shahid Kapoor: When Shahid Kapoor's much publicized affair with the gorgeous Kareena Kapoor ended, the actor apparently went into a shell. Fed up with constant prodding by the media, Shahid lost his cool when asked by a journalist if he will ever work again with his former flame Kareena again. The poor chap, who was very furious with this question, tried to give a smart answer but ended up sounding DUMB. He replied, "If my director wants me to work with a cow or a buffalo, as an actor, I am ready to do it." Shahid though we understand breakups can be heartbreaking as well as humiliating, especially one that was so talked about, but comparing Kareena to a cow or buffalo surely had us cracking.
