Okay , so I was wrong, the episode did not continue with the AKdha scene but the faces of MA and Ruqs. ðŸ˜
But. I actually was fine with today's episode- not too bad. But a little harder to find my top 5 then yesterday - I guess CVs want me to work harder. 😊
And I am sure people need to be cheered up as Sujamal has arrived in Agra.
So, here is my take 5:
Physically Akdha scene may not have continued . But it continued emotionally, with each of their love gurus. Their dialogues described the hand holding scene from yesterday quite well.
An aside: I guess both Jalal and Jodha have had short term memory loss - they both forgot they have expressed their love to each other in very different circumstances- one the soul talk and one the "prem" discussion from last week. Bhagavan hi hume bachaaye! 😉
(1) Jodha's side- why she moved her hand: She is extremely shy to express her feelings evidenced by her saying, "How can I say this" and still in quasi- denial, " Have my feelings really arisen?" She may be the slowest learner about love, but she is cute. Hats off to Moti for saying that by Jodha not expressing her feelings to Jalal she is being unfair to both Jodha and Jalal- can we add one more here, us! 😆
(2) Jalal's side: why he didn't hold her hand: He is unsure of Jodha's feelings and does not want to lose her friendship by moving to fast. So, here we see the effects of the Shove again- but that was a drunk love confession, why not try it sober this time? 😉 Loved parts of the scene:
- the cuteness of Jalal failing to conceal his identity to Hakim Mirza in his questions to him though he tried hard 😳
- how dear Jodha was to him that he was worried to lose her friendship by going too fast 😳
And of course, great to see Hakim Mirza and male bonding back on the show.
My only complaint in this scene: In his first self talk, why did Jalal say he could not bear the bezzati of rejection again- was it the bezzati or refusal of love that would hurt him more? Hopefully, the latter. He fixed it in his second self talk when he said he could not bear it if she refused him.
(3) Salima- Jalal conversation. Always nice to see the relationship of respect between these two. The best part for me- when Salima said he has to pay the price of being Shehenshah by being stuck in the middle. She should have said the price of having multiple begums!
Jalal, I have a solution, make Salima harem ward?
By the way, Jalal's fix in the promo between Ruqs and Jodha is his own doing. Who ever thought of open voting? Blind voting kartha , then Jalal would have been saved. 😆
(4) Hamida Bano-Ruqs- Jodha scene. No I did not like for the usual Jodha Devi mahanta of being dignity personified and asking for harem ki shaanti instead of her win- that was a bit OTT. What I liked it for is how Hamida Bano continued to show her affection for Ruqs- she kissed her on the forehead first and was happy to bless her. Hamida Bano was often shown to be anti- Ruqs- and here she continues to show care to her even though she knows she has stooped so low. Hamida Bano truly understands her Ruqs insecurities- why can't Hamida Bano directly talk to Ruqs instead of outsourcing to Gulbadan? Hamida Bano should advise Jalal to talk to Ruqs as well.
(5) Precap- so the long awaited Sujamal track is here. A few things that made me happy that things are not going the movie way and hopefully will cheer you up as well:
- Jodha did not know Sujamal was coming to meet her- so no criticism for going to meet him despite her conversation with Jalal
- She did not recognize him in disguise like Jalal - obviously she loves Jalal more- just kidding- added that to cheer people who are worried about Sujamal 😆
- She is meeting him in a public place- no rumors of meeting a secret lover alone
- Loved her expression- how she first happily smiled to see him and then turned to sadness. Reminded me of Jalal when he found out about Bakshi Bano's pregnancy. I hope this track is parallel to Jodha helped Jalal forgive Bakshi Bano,
- Only thing might be whether she turns Sujamal in and/or tells him truth immediately or later. I am guessing she will not tell him immediately- so his anger will only be she hid it from him. This is certainly not the worst thing Jodha has done. She already secretly met SD in jail.
Honorable mention- After Jalal and Jodha, maybe Bakshi Bano's brains are waking up. She seemed suspicious of SD. Abhay, is SD going to be trampled by an elephant soon?
Big question on my mind : who will Jalal vote for? I am sure he is for Jodha but somehow I can't see Jodha arranging for his time with begums. 😉Let's see what he does. I thought Jodha's saying to Hamida Bano that may the person win who will bring shaanti to the harem hinted that she might back off for shanti of the harem or have told Jalal to vote for Ruqs and it will be shown as a flashback. If Ruqs loses, she will let nobody live in peace! 😆
In the precap, Jodha looks pretty happy - is it because she won BEK or she escaped from that headache? 😊 My bet is the latter- after all she won peace of mind!
