Current time when economy, nations are seeking "Globalization" Globalization - what it means literally? here is the link .
Thinking futuristically - Being multilingual (french, spanish, german, chinese - why only these???) no more an advantage,
Kaun kehta hai? I can criticise my MIL on her face and she will have no idea what I am saying as long as I keep smiling! 😆 I can always make sure what the students are yattering about - if it's complimentary 😳 or not 😡. I can have a wonderful conversation with my neighbour's elderly parents - they speak in Bangla, I reply in Hindi, they reply back in Bangla and we go on like this for hours on a lazy Friday morning 😛
but its more then advantagious to be termed mandate for next generation ??
To add few more questions -
- Is age a factor to attain expertise in different languages, if so why?
Not really! The three main factors in my opinion are the amount of work you are willing to put in, your exposure to the language outside of a classroom/learner setting, and how much you get to use it. I had lived in the UAE for 3 years before I went to Saudi for a couple of months. I never felt the need to speak Arabic in the UAE because English was widely-used. However, in Saudi I was forced to pick up Arabic because not many people spoke, or were willing to speak English. I was getting good at it when I returned to the UAE, and promptly forgot most of it
- Universal language has lost its value?
Couldn't really figure out what you meant here 😳
