NOT A DESPERATE CALL After getting married recently, the actress took a break from TV, but is now back with a bang. "I have worked continuously for 16 years, practically everyday till I got married to Abhinav. When Abhinav told me that we will go for our honeymoon when I have time, I thought to myself that is there anything else more important for me than him? Immediately I asked the makers of serial Parvaarish for 15-20 days off and went on holidays with him. When I came back, the show went off air," she says adding, "After that I didn't feel like taking another show. I wanted to do something different and exciting on TV. And so, I opted for Mad In India. I am not desperate for work."
A WELCOME CHANGE Telling us about the changes she finds in the TV industry in these 16 years of her career, Shweta says, "Quality of TV shows has improved and also the mode of work is different now. Pehle toh we used to work day and night continuously for three days. Par ab we try and finish the shoot in 12 hours. But one thing that hasn't changed is that if you are doing a daily soap even today, you can't demand a weekly off or a festival off. Life isn't easy here."
FILMI CHAKKAR Not many people know that Shweta also runs a production house and has plans to get into filmmaking soon. "I want to produce a movie. And for that I would certainly want Ranbir Kapoor to be the part of project. I really want to work with him," she says.
