I'm sorry ): Truth is that I've been busy with an assignment I can't seem to figure out haha, it's driving me nuts and making me pretty cranky. I'll try to take some time off to write tomorrow! But no promises.

Hello guys! Thank you all for showing as much support as you did about my decision, I was not expecting such response. Anyway, really sorry about the delay, I have been and still am swamped with work, it's ridiculous. But I took some time off today to come up with something at least, before you guys kill me. So here it is!

Yes Boss: Part 39

"This is still not going to work. I'm still not signing those papers," Zoya murmured against Asad's lips, their passionate kiss fizzling down to a series of playful pecks as they caught their breath. Asad frowned and pulled away, his muscles straining against his clothes as he moved himself off of Zoya. His fingers darted across his own forehead uneasily, before he finally got up, his back facing Zoya.

"Why?" Asad asked gruffly, the anger still evident in his voice. Zoya bit her lower lip nervously before finally using her elbows to raise herself up into a sitting position. She ran her hands through her dishevelled hair as she tried to make herself look presentable, before finally standing up as well, staring at his back.

"Why do you want me to sign them anyway?" Zoya countered, dodging his question completely. She watched his shoulders tense up, and she shook her head. She took a step forward and rested her hand on his shoulder tentatively, making him jolt in shock a little. Slowly, she guided him to turn around and face her.

"When I told Mr Tripathi to destroy the pre-nup papers, he asked me if I was sure and if I trusted you. So I told him to make these papers instead," Asad answered, sweeping his hand through the air as he gestured towards the papers on the ground nonchalantly, keeping his eyes fixed on them as well.

"You want to sign 51% of Dilshaad Constructions over to me... just to prove that you trust me?" Zoya probed, her voice breaking in the middle as emotions flooded her system. She stared at Asad in complete disbelief, yearning for him to look at her in the eye. But he didn't. He continued staring blankly at the ground, nodding once in response to her question.

Before Asad could make any sense of it, Zoya launched herself into his arms, wrapping her arms around his neck in a bone-crushing hug. Asad regained his composure at long last, slowly lifting his own arms to rest them on her back and her pin her shaking form against his body.

"The thought is enough Mr Khan, I don't need to sign the papers," Zoya whispered into his neck, where her face was buried. She felt Asad's body tense up again, and she frowned, wondering what the problem was now.

"But I want you to sign them," Asad insisted stubbornly, as he pulled away from the hug unhappily. He crossed his arms across his chest, glaring at her openly as he expressed his displeasure. The frown on Zoya's forehead deepened. Was there something more to this?

"But I don't want to!" Zoya retorted just as stubbornly, stomping her foot on the ground in rebellion. Asad rolled his eyes and proceeded to sink down to his knees, picking up the papers strewn on the ground. Zoya went down on her hands and knees as well, not to help him but to try and read his face. But his face remained devoid of emotion as he ignored her, just mechanically picking up the papers.

"Mr Khan, tell me what the other reason is," Zoya demanded with certainty, making Asad look up at her in surprise. He stared at her briefly, before turning his attention back to the ground, picking up the last two papers of the pile. He got up and walked towards the table, shuffling the papers into as neat a pile as he could before putting them down.

"If you sign these, you'll always be... around," Asad answered awkwardly, as he sensed Zoya stand up behind him as well. A long silence ensued, as Asad hoped Zoya understood what he was saying, and Zoya tried to understand what he was saying.

"In your life," Zoya finally completed what Asad had left hanging, as realization dawned upon her. Once again, she found herself having to guide Asad to face her, as she rested her hand on his upper arm. He turned a little reluctantly, his silence speaking volumes.

"Mr Khan, hamara nikaah hogaya hai. I'm not going anywhere, hamesha ke liye," Zoya assured him, trailing her hands away from his arms to rest on his chest. Asad found his own arms naturally finding their way to her waist, as he applied some force on it to pull her closer.

"Sach?" Asad asked innocently, his voice strained. Zoya smiled, her dimple forming naturally on her cheek. She nodded confidently, finally earning the smallest of smiles from Asad. She felt Asad's hand cup her cheek, his fingers stroking her dimple affectionately before he dipped his head slowly and claimed her lips with his own. It felt just like a first kiss, one that didn't occur without the consent of the other, or in the heat of the moment, but one that was deliberate and slow, the kind that felt like it could last forever.

"Miss Farooqui, do it for my happiness then," Asad requested politely for a change, after their kiss ended, feeling like the longest one they'd ever shared. Zoya fell into deep thought for a second, the constant stroking of her neck and cheek by Asad's fingers not helping in any way.

"Theek hai, but on one condition," Zoya answered seriously, making worry set into Asad's system again, despite the fact that it didn't show on his face. He nodded cautiously, indicating that she should continue.

"You have to stop calling me Miss Farooqui, because it doesn't even make sense to anymore," Zoya pointed out, jabbing her index finger in his chest playfully as a grin erupted on her face, making the panic that had set in for Asad disappear within seconds. He caught her finger in his palm, stopping the jabbing as he lifted her hand up to his mouth that way, pressing a soft kiss against her palm. He was about to let go of her hand when something caught his eye.

"In that case Zoya, you ought to call me by my first name too, considering the fact that it's written so boldly on your hand," Asad countered, as his thumb stroked the skin between her finger and thumb, where his name was hidden in her now lighter mehndi design.

"I did last night! Remember? When we..." Zoya began to argue without thinking, in a bid to win their little battle of words. But saying that already left her on the losing end, as a blush began to creep across her cheeks, the memories of the night before flashing before both his and her eyes.

"Let me, uh, let me sign the papers," Zoya quickly changed the topic, when she saw Asad's eyes glaze over and his fingers stopped stroking her face. She pushed him away slightly at that point, hurriedly seating herself in the chair that was in front of the table and wheeling herself towards it, grabbing a pen from the pen holder.

Zoya felt Asad's presence behind her, and she quickly leaned forward into the table, as she began signing the papers. She wasn't even sure why she felt so overwhelmed with shyness now; after all they'd been through the past few days, and all the boldness she'd shown. She saw Asad's hands rest on the handles of the chair from behind her, and after a while she felt his head rest on her shoulder, as he nuzzled her lightly, his stubble tickling her skin.

"Thank you Zoya," Asad whispered huskily, as Zoya finished signing, realizing internally that he wasn't just thanking her for obliging and signing the papers, but for coming into his life in the first place, and making it so much better.

"Okay bas, ab mujhe jaana hai. There's lots of work left to do in the technical department now that I'm alone," Zoya announced randomly, as she got up from the chair and in the process threw Asad off as well. But before she could leave, Asad gripped her wrist, stopping her.

"Zoya didn't you read the papers before signing? You don't need to work anymore," Asad said casually, earning a loud gasp of disbelief from Zoya. She whirled around suddenly, her eyes shooting daggers at Asad within minutes.

"What do you mean don't need to work?! Just because mera nikaah hogaya, now I have to sit and home and be a housewife?? Aap MCP ho, mujhe pehle se pata tha, par itna?! So that's why you were so insistent that I sign the papers, and that's why you kept distracting me while I was signing them, so I don't see this clause! I'm shocked, and ridiculously disappointed," Zoya yelled into Asad's face, as she grabbed his collars and tugged against them. The audacity of this man!
