| Come April 30, and Sony Sab's popular daily soap, Left Right Left, will be back on air. This comes as a piece of great news for the soap viewers and especially fans of popular TV star, Rajiv Khandelwal. The young actor, in town to attend a private function, agreed that with the World Cup coming to an end, he is looking forward for the show to resume from next week. "It has been an amazing experience to play the character of Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat in Left Right Left," the actor said adding, "Playing the role has been much more challenging and difficult than I imagined and the success that I have reaped in the show has also gone beyond my expectation." The actor explains that he did not expect the show to evolve so much in the past one year. "Honestly, I did not think people would be so creative in TV. Initially when I started working on this show I thought it would be for some six months but the character of Rajveer Singh Shekhawat as well as the plot of the serial has evolved beautifully," he said. Though Rajiv is not willing to compare his current role with that of Kahin to Hoga's Sujal, he feels the role in Left Right Left has given him more reason to rejoice. "It is true that Sujal made me famous but Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat made me more successful. Recently at a TV award function, I was voted as the best actor, which never happened while I was playing Sujal or for that matter for Varun in Time Bomb. This only indicates that more people have loved my character in Left Right Left," he said. However fans might be disappointed to know that the character of Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat may soon come to an end. "It is only logical that all good things come to an end. But I am confident that my fans would not be disappointed, as I would give them something new," says Rajiv. So has he signed any new serial? "No, not yet. I believe in taking one thing at a time," he said. Rajiv also refused to agree that he has been in a denial mode when it came to his relationship with Aamna Shariff. "I have never denied anything and as I have said before, she is indeed a special person in my life. However when I am not seeing her, I just can't stand and claim to do so." The actor is also unperturbed by the alleged animosity between him and Ekta Kapoor. "Ekta Kapoor cannot afford to ridicule me and nor can I do so either. I never think of her, we do not cross each other's path and we never interact. She doesn't exist for me and I don't exist for her, that's it," the actor emphasises. On a personal level, Rajiv, who has been sponsoring a girl child for three years wanted to adopt a baby girl. "However as there were some problems in allowing a single man to adopt a child so I gave up the idea.
