Another post on relationship.. 😆 Scared... lols no I don't intend to educate us in relationships related matters as much as to challenge agony column in magazines and radio.

This post is regarding kids of Indian origin living in overseas. Based on what I heard and saw among Indians kids born and bought up overseas.

Something to take a note:

Kids of Indian origin are making big impact on education front overseas. Termed as the most bright / knowlegable / capable / confident kids comparatively. Focus of debate -

1. Do indian kids overseas loose thier identity?

2. Kids of Indian origin aboard subjected to racism in school?

3. What steps parents should take to neutralize such feelings?

4. NRI kids back in India treated indifferently?

Me too... after hitting relationships hard, want to seek inputs on other aspects, futuristically , seeing my niece/nephews have a substantial say on this topic... waiting for inputs...

got no kids.. i can probably speak from several friends, apartment-mates and cousins though :) and wait to hear more from those who raised kids here / were raised here :)

1. Do indian kids overseas loose thier identity? depends on their upbringing

2. Kids of Indian origin aboard subjected to racism in school? depends on the location. in some remote / smaller places perhaps! in bigger cities, no.

3. What steps parents should take to neutralize such feelings? not to be confused and not confuse them

4. NRI kids back in India treated indifferently? i think so :)

Something to take a note:

Kids of Indian origin are making big impact on education front overseas. Termed as the most bright / knowlegable / capable / confident kids comparatively. Focus of debate -

1. Do indian kids overseas loose thier identity? Not true always, depends on family how you brought them up and individual too.

2. Kids of Indian origin aboard subjected to racism in school? Sometimes, yes, I have seen it and if that happens in that scenario you need to put your feet down and fight for it.

3. What steps parents should take to neutralize such feelings? Have confidence in self and do the same for kids. We ourselves need to have our own identity and when kids know it they have no problem. Having our own culture does not mean we are inferior, infact we should feel proud of ourselves that we live with our culture. When kids see it they feel the same way too.

4. NRI kids back in India treated indifferently? No, why should they be treated differently? I think this thought is the one which confuses our kids that they are different...

Anshu these are just according to my POV, which many may not agree.
