I completely agree with you on the song part.. Both the song and Sanaya's acting are very powerful --- BUT not together. It sounds so odd! Why can't anyone creative team in the point this out?

About the emotional part, you are right .. Rudra's breakdown is really good and well acted, but its coming too often! I was happy when I saw there was a scene for Paro only to show her pain..but it was too short.

Thakurain's story is getting interesting day by day..

Thanks, Monica

We have pointed this out earlier too, in the hospital scene ... they need another singer for Paro. The voice is all right for Sadia.

Am glad people agree about Rudra's breakdown ... I thought it was only me, and felt a little mean when my reaction was 'get over it now!' 😆 The subtle and understated is much more powerful to drive the point home than repeating it again and again ... his pain and bitterness was much better expressed in the terse exchanges with his father, and in the silent scenes with flashbacks. Paro's pain, on the other hand, seems more powerful because she has expressed it so little ... I loved the beginning of the scene, but it was far too short.

Thakurain's story is still mysterious ... her being Rudra's mother is just the tip of the iceberg. Hope they do have a decent back story ... her scene with Danveer was unimpressive. The scene with the thakur was better.

I was banging my head the entry time today because I have seen way too much of Rudra breakdown. It's like CVS is turning him into a total Devdas I wouldn't complain regarding his emotions because I know he's still a child deep down inside lagging for some love & affection but I was so irritated like enough already!

I agree with you I would love to see Thakurain & Paro in flashbacks.

Lol ... Devdas longing for mommy, not for Paro 😆 I sympathise with Rudra, he has had a very tough life and no maternal softness and warmth in it ... they are trying to show his vulnerability and emotional weakness but they do need to cut it down.

I would LOVE to see Thakurain and Paro in flashbacks ... esp with little Paro ... that girl was very sweet too. A young thakurain missing her son whom she can't find, lavishing her love and affection on another motherless child ... the contrast between Paro's life filled with love, despite being an orphan, and Rudra's life lacking love, despite having two living parents. But for that we need to see both sides, not just one.
Let's hope the makers find a better balance soon.

Somehow i felt that the episode was hushed up in the second half and a bit disconnected, it started well though. I too feel that they need to tone down Rudra's breakdown scenes, Paro's was more impactful.
Sadiya was good today, could feel thakurain's pain. But somehow the feeling that she may have left her family for love is not quite sitting with me, i hope there is more to it that i can empathise with her.
As usual PaRud were beautiful today. Is it me just me, i felt Rudra was behaving like a lost, confused and stubborn boy, not knowing what to to do.

Malini ... you said it. I don't know if it is intentional .. to show Rudra losing his way in his rapidly growing obsession with Paro ... but it seems he is lost between the two roles. Is he a jallad BSD officer trying to keep his unwilling captive safe? Or is he a lost boy, still hankering for the love of his mother, and so vulnerable to the taunts of his kaaki that he forgets his duty as a BSD officer in order to get back at her? The demand for a grand wedding goes completely against his supposed need to keep Paro's presence in his house a big secret. It does seem that Rudra is losing the plot here ... not seeing the bigger picture for the smaller pleasure of getting back at his kaakisa. The tashan between him and kaaki should not be his driving force, but that's what seems to be happening.

Episode started well with Paro's breakdown, but was rushed after that. I also felt it was disjointed with too much seesawing. Maybe preparing for the grand showdown tonight in the ME ... but I hope they smoothen the pace after that.

And Rudra's meltdowns need to stop too. I know he has a tortured past, but they have to show him dealing with his pain slowly. It will show his emotional strength in a better light.

Thanks ... let's hope the makers take notice. And the equation between Rudra and Paro has to progress ... they seem to be stuck in the same place, with neither making the effort to recognise the other.

Another fantastic take Diya,

I will summarize two scenes in these two lines

Ek hiron ki titli sajj gayi Paro ke kangan pe

Ek gulaabi sehmi sehmi si titli sawar gayi Rudra ke aangan mein

Already too many comments on Rudra breakdown and stuff so wont add to that.

Now coming to Thakur and Mala. AFter seeing Thaukur crease his brows over his wifey's pain, most of us felt he love hers and she him. But I am not buying that.

Well Mala is the clean slate that a blood-tainted Thakur uses to write down his death sentences on. She is the white face of a very black (though handsome) Thakur. Its deception. He love his villagers more than Mala. He cant lose them. No Mala no villagers worship him.

A man who is involved in human trafficking and throwing girls to crocs ain't a man in love. Yes she is is obsession like he would place a high priced piece d'art in his home. He has hidden every dirty deed of his from her. IF they are both in love, it does not matter then. Its one sided just from Mala's side.

Being a very good looking man viewers find it hard to digest that he can be that ugly. But he is. The crime is not a personal family vendetta kind of. This is gun-smuggling, human trafficking of young girls across the border.

Wonder why Mala told Thakur she will tell him about it later. Is Rudra his son? An affair before marriage to Dilsher? OMG...that would be too much for Rudra to accept. And a bit too filmy...

Sanaya just looked stunning in pink. The hues of the color pink and orange (a previous dupatta) add a beautiful glow to her skin.

dd ... interesting take on Thakur.

I will say this ... an evil corrupt man can also love his wife. Does he love her more than he loves his position and his power ... I don't know. I don't think so. For Thakur, he himself will always come first ... and he will be ready to sacrifice anything and anyone that comes in his way. He might shed a couple of tears for Thakurain, he might even feel genuinely bad if he had to kill her ... but he would do it without much thought. Nice man! 😆

Don't think Rudra is Thakur's son ... he is Dilsher's son all right. Otherwise Mala would have taken him with her without a thought. But we are yet to hear the story of why and how Mala entered the Thakur's life ... have to wait for that story to emerge fully.

sorry i dint read all the comments, but i saw two episodes together, and this was a perfect one for me. I think i need to watch the whole story together for greater impact... the way they break for the day (each episode ending part) is not working for me.

so one day, kaka went to see mom, mom gave him a bangle for paro, rudy saw mom's eyes in the checkpost and is totally upset. then he buys red bangles to terrorize her and comes home, makes her wear them.. she is heartbroken to be wearing red bangles from her husband's killer, cannot sleep even if she wants to.. sings a song up on the terrace, in solitude and tears. the jallad hears it and comes out, shouts at her, and in the loneliness of his bedroom, remembers his mom singing it, and breaks down.

I dont think parvati's emotions were under represented, i dont think rudra's emotions were over represented. I only wish that they would not oversell the "chemistry" in scenes that imply more than should be implied, even though these two actors in an eyelock is a treat to watch.

the song sounds like it was sung for an open stage or temple.. the use of the song in a bedroom setting, both the first time in the hospital and then today in the haveli, jarred wildly, like everyone noticed. the same song can be sung in an indoor voice, right? imho, i think the older woman's lip syncing suited the song better. it was almost believable that she sang that song.

A different perspective 😃 Put it that way @bold, you're right ... Rudra was disturbed after seeing the lady in the car ... and after that, hearing the song brought it all back again ... but the bangle scene in the middle made the two events seems totally disjointed ... maybe they should have kept the two events completely separate and given each the space and time they deserved.

Paro's breakdown on getting the red bangles and being forced to wear them was very poignant ... it needed more time, especially as she has been very stoic and calm for quite a long time now. The scene of his putting the bangles did have chemistry, but if you notice, they did not play the RR song, it was not meant to be a romantic moment at all. It was another step in Rudra's plan to intimidate and scare Paro into calling off the wedding. Hence her breakdown after that ... you're right, if that part had been in one episode, the continuity in the sequence would have been better. But the actors undeniably have chemistry, when they are in the same frame, intimidation or seduction, sparks fly! 😛 Of course, it helps that we know they are hero and heroine!

The voice for the song ... we all agree on that one! 😆
