Race to the Altar.. not to reach it but rather to see who stumbles first.
Rudra - The gauntlet of marriage is thrown, desperate act to save the only identity that validates him (BSD). He still considers Paro a betrayer, hopes that her resolve will weaken slowly but surely as she goes through the rituals and finally snap when she sees her jallad as the groom. He intimidates her knowing fully well how she detests him and his uniform.. yet there are moments unbeknownst to him where he forgets that she is the cause of his current predicament
Paro - Already pushed to the brink yet life keeps doling out more. She goes through the rituals unwillingly, hoping that Rudra's hate towards her will make him backpaddle before it is too late. Every act however brings with it memories of a life filled with dreams trampled mercilessly by Rudra. She is defiant when he questions her..yet there are fleeting moments unbeknownst to her where she forgets that he is cause of her current predicament.
MaChi- Extremely vindictive, angry at Rudra for questioning her infallible hold on the Ranawat household, detests Paro for refusing her help and turning her down. She is now armed with the most knowledge to wreak collateral damage. In the sands of the border it was external factors that started the Rudra-Paro story, will MaChi be the key orchestrator in this next phase of their journey?
Though there are standard crater sized holes in logic typical to any soap, the drama has picked up towards the end of last week and the narrative is a lot more cohesive since then. Today's necklace-ve was a desperate attempt by Rudra trying to agitate Paro as he knows that his time is running out.
