About Islam, or for any other religion, one thing is true, that there are conflicts, and everyone has an understanding according to them. They follow that according to their sensibilities, and no one has a right to pass a judgement that whether they are muslim or not, or whether he follow islam properly or not. This, he knows, and God knows, no one else.

And about charity, well yeah I've heard this from my muslim friends that there shouldn't be any other purpose for this rather than your good intentions.
