I had promised to a few about a rose day one-shot, but couldn't write a one-shot isliye two shot đ. Idk when I'll post the next part. Hope you like this one. :)
Swayam didn't know what that glare from Sharon meant. She was behaving queerly, and he was helpless and totally ineligible to fathom her behavior off late. Swayam couldn't understand Sharon. Deep down, he still had the same amount of affection for her, but he was beginning to notice the change in her, or had she come back to what she was earlier?
She was ignoring him. She was back to being the Sharon Rai Prakash she was, after the secret admirer revelation. And frankly, he didn't like it. He was getting used to the attention he was getting from her, he loved it when she made him feel loved. It was altogether a different, a beautiful feeling, which he was experiencing for the first time, and frankly, he didn't want to let go off it so soon.
He didn't like it, but he was really beginning to feel that she had come to a conclusion that she didn't love him. Maybe, finally she had realized that there was someone way better than him for her, and that's why she was ignoring him and behaving like she was earlier. His heart broke into a million pieces when he thought of the same.
He didn't want to let the thought of her not loving him venture into his mind again. That was something he had thought of long back, and never in his wildest dreams did he think that she would actually acknowledge it. He wished, she showed some sign of her love.. Internally he knew that she wasn't going to do that. He had actually lost the ability to read her.
She had left. She was not in front of him. If she really didn't care now, if she didn't acknowledge in any way about her love, why was she even affected when he came through with VP sir's niece? Why in the first place did she even care about it? And those crisscrosses all over her forehead, what were they? And WHY were they? Swayam didn't know the answer.
"Swayam, announcer is asking us to be a part of the next game." Ruhi's voice brought him out of his thoughts.
He stared at her, thinking about random things.
"Swayam?" She waved in front of him.
"Yes?"
"The next game?"
"Ruhi..." He said. He actually wanted to avoid all kinds of games, but again, ignoring would be rude, and that was clearly not what he wanted. "Let's go."
Sharon hadn't completely disappeared. She was loitering around the atrium sans Vicky. She didn't even know where he was, and neither did she care. She was toying with the idea of going home.. and then she saw him.
Her heart skipped a beat when she saw him looking at her. Very briefly although, he did pass a glance to her.
She turned when he did. She reminded herself that she wasn't supposed to care, while internally her eyes yearned to look at him. She yearned for his gaze. She missed him like hell, and she still wanted some miracle to bring them together. She wished.
She heaved a deep melancholy sigh. Why was it always them?? Why them? Why couldn't they live happily like a normal couple?
"You want to join in for the game?" Vicky came out of somewhere and asked her.
"No." She said. She wanted to play the game, but not with Vicky, with her date. Her actual date, her valentine, which was Swayam. But Swayam was not there, and she did not even feel like going for the game. She chose to randomly take a walk outside the celebration venue.
"You need to balance the balloons on your partner's foreheads and walk that way till the finishing line! The couple which manages to do it, will win!"
Swayam and Ruhi participated in the same. Swayam smiled, but he wasn't really happy. He couldn't see Sharon in the atrium, and wondered whether she was playing the game with Vicky or no. Vicky was there, but Sharon was nowhere around.
Swayam and Ruhi didn't win the game, as expected. Swayam was not interested. And Ruhi kept messing it up. Swayam was busy searching for Sharon throughout the atrium. All of a sudden, he had an urge to figure out why she was getting affected or behaving like this? Why the sudden change? What was wrong with her? She was getting confusing day by day and frankly, he couldn't live without knowing what exactly was on her mind. She was playing on her mind, and she looked so disturbed while passing him those deadly glares! Knowing her, he knew there had to be something which was bothering her, but what was it?? Should he talk to her? Because he really wanted the love of his life to stay free of worries, if not with him.
Don't think about you and Sharon , Swayam. It's probably a farfetched dream.
Swayam sighed.
He was not interested in the rose day... He never thought that it was going to be so difficult. When he had said yes to Ruhi about becoming her date, he didn't practically imagine himself in such a situation. But practically, it was pathetic! Really pathetic. He couldn't go with Sharon on any one of the rose days.
He thought about it for a moment. Had he really changed? Was Sharon behaving queerly because he had changed?
Of course not Swayam! A voice echoed in his mind. She doesn't care now.. But then, why those I'm going to kill you' looks?
Going out with someone else other than Sharon did affect him, especially when Sharon was present, and he did care! It was that, he didn't show it, because he had promised himself to move on, and if he openly displayed his emotions, he was sure that neither Sharon nor anyone else was going to melt due to it. He loved Sharon a lot, but she didn't. She had started realizing it, so maybe this was the time to end all the connections between them. Maybe, finally they had to part ways...for real. Swayam's heart ached when he thought of this.
He should have spoken to her once. He was going to. He deserved to know what was bothering her, and whether it was related to him or no. It was time to clear everything between them.
On the terrace, Sharon Rai Prakash was feeling low. Like, really low and disgusting. She was the GS of the college, but she didn't want to go to the atrium. Why should she? To see the love of her life dancing happily with someone and not even caring about her? To see the love of her life enjoying obliviously while she was feeling sick there. It wasn't easy. No way. She was going to run away from all this, because she frankly couldn't take it anymore. She didn't want to bend anymore but it was his time to come up to her and mend stuff up because things had gone beyond limits! How much more did she even have to run behind him?? She was a diva for god's sake and she had realized she was going out of character because of the same. She was not the one who ran behind people trying to win them back. And Swayam was not an exception. This was the first time she had buckled so much under him, but that was enough. Not anymore .
Either Swayam comes to talk to me and sort everything out, or we end everything that we once had... For real. Enough is enough.
"Can I talk to you for some time Sharon?" She heard a familiar and a soothing voice calling out her name. Her heart skipped a beat as she turned around to see the most amazing person standing in front of her under the moonlight.
Hope you liked it! If you did, do leave your likes and comments!!
