How was Highway?

I agree with u its a one time watch, performances were good but the story cud have been better to interest me, I actually like rockstar better.

Gundey and Highway were the only 2014 films I wanted to watch and I haven't gotten around to watching either. #F*L

So is it as bad as LAK and Rockstar or as good as JWM and SNT?

gunday i wont even talk abt...😆...i forgot tht movie even existed right after i walked out of the cinema hall...😆

This movie is a breath of fresh air among all the nonsensical movies these days. It has a beautiful story line and the visuals were breathtakingly beautiful. Alia was a bit inconsistent with her character, but when she was good- she hit the nail right on spot! I had no expectations from her but she really did a wonderful job. As for Randeep Hooda- he owned the movie. With much less screen space than Alia, I was able to connect with him more deeply. Seemed like the character he played, Mahabir, was tailored for him. The bonding of both the characters was so unadulterated, which you can hardly find in movies these days. & of course, the songs/background music were perfect. This movie definitely shouldn't be missed!

i dunno if u'll like it dexy...its not like any of imtiaz's previous films so its hard to compare...it strongly depends on how personally connect to the story and the acting of the leads...therz nothing commercial or "entartaining" in it per say...so maybe give it a go...see how u like it...would love to read ur views on it...

Thanks Smartie. I'm gonna try to watch both this week. I appreciate your views on Bollywood films since they are so authentic. But yea I figured Gundey is just a watch and forget masala. 😆 I'm expecting more out of Highway because the plot intrigued me. Hopefully it will not disappoint.

Another person whose opinion I value likes it! Yippie! This is looking good. That sounds like its good then because I absolutely hated LAK, so didn't even bother with Rockstar which I heard was just as terrible. But I will watch this one soon! Thanks Poppy 😃

For a commercial film like Highway, I loved the rich symbolism in it...the scenery and locales in the film run parallel to the main protogonists's character graphs...first its rough and patchy (very much like the dusty town of India that both Maha and Veera travel), and then it gets green and soothing (when they start unburdening themselves to each other) and finally they reach the mountains (when Veera and Mahabir manage to break themselves free from their past demons)
