Funny you brought that up! Actually I have watched this Rishtey episode few times and even talked about it plenty on here. 😆 That's exactly why I was looking forward to Highway since last year. Kartika Rane was so good in that episode.

Thanks for the link, Smarie! Just saw the Ristey Episode...ofcourse, I loved the film much more, but the episode was also very good...its just that, its so outdated...the clothes and production value etc. hamper the story. One of the biggest advantages that Highway has is the cinematography and the locations!

And is the guy who comes in CID? Kartika Rane used to be one of my favorite tele actresses, such a pretty looking girl! Loved her with Ashish Chaudhary in Hum Pardesi Ho Gaye.

PS: I didn't mind the ending in the episode too...but I liked the ending in the film also. Tragic, but somehow befitting the theme of the film.

Highway was fantastic.

As I said earlier, all of Imtiaz's movies, his career, from all those JWMs and Rockstars were leading up to this one film. This film is a manifestation of his idea of filmmakinf- open, honest and beautiful.

It depends on person to person, and how you relate to the story and the characters. Not everyone will enjoy the film. But those who do, won't be able to get it out of their head.

Dexy, watch the movie NOW.

You may not like it, but you will never forget it.

And god the acting is brilliant, the cinematography is brilliant, songs are brilliant- it is exquisite and delicate. A thing of beauty.

A good movie that came out after a long time. It was so much better than the usual commercial cinema we see. Alia has improved a lot while Hooda is officially one of my favourite actors now 😆 The only thing I'm confused about is what Veera and Mahabir's relationship meant. Was it made to seem platonic or romantic? I got to hand it to Imtiaz for making me questioning such a thing. Hats off to him!
