The reason I started to watch this serial was I firmly believed that knowing that the lead hero was going to be obnoxious and that his treatment of his wife was going to be bad.

BUT the difference would be that the wife in this case"Urmi" would wake up from her dream of her husband being a knight in shining armour but when reality hits her she will stand to up to the abuse and make a stand against the abuse and walk out and learn to live a good and productive life on her own and move on in life.

I am sticking to it because I still think that there should be the social message to young women that they do not have to live under such conditions under pressure of what will family and society say and live with fear.

If they show the same old regressive bullcrap that love will change people like SamRAT then this show is a waste of time.

Mohit Malik is a good actor and is doing a commendable job of his character but that aside the character cannot treat women like that and get away with it.

But I feel even if she changes him isnt that a social message too..as we as as a society shud work towards changing such men nd their attitudes...as all kund of masses watch this show.. including such men..so its imp to maje such men realise that women are the most strongest creation of god..

Show is very good. Now waiting for Urmi to fight against Samrat! Those women who are suffering from samrat like husband have to learn something from urmi like how to fight against them how to change them and at last if nothing helps how to divorce them! I expect alot from the makers. I hope they dont change the storyline for the sake of TRP!

See, issue isn't about her being able to change him, she can only help BRING a change in him, only and IF he is wanting to change himself ! But just need the right guidance, where in this case She comes in. Otherwise it isn't possible to change an egoistic person like him in real life. Sure, what u mean is showing that wives shld change him is a good message, but if the husband isn't willing to change then it's not at all possible to make it happen. I understand a lot of him fans think its easy for the directors to change him in the storyline but then, that wld defeat the social message which I feel the show is trying to portray. Change is only possible when the person is willing to change himself! Otherwise, it's does not happen .

I agree that it sounds nice to think that men like SamRAT can change but the reality is that more often than not they end up hurting and ruining their partners life. Is there a time limit to this kind of situation, for how long. One year , ten years or till he has completely broken her spirit to live??

Many women stay in abusive relationship thinking love and patience will achieve a positive change but again statistics have proven that it is near to impossible.

If he was capable of change he would have done it with his own family by now that he seems to have been bullying and threatening for a long time already.

And as an audience it is our responsibility to take issue with the CV's for glorifying these kind of situations and keeping women under such helpless conditions where they have no other safe place to get away from mental, physical and emotional abuse.

Urmi has no say in this marriage , she has no freedom of thought, she has no freedom of going to even her own family and she is constantly being degraded for every little thing.

How long does she have to live under these conditions before she must stand up for her basic human rights.

Soon I hope the CV's show that women do not need to take this kind of crap from men who know nothing of respecting women or in this SamRAT's case even his own
father and his whole family and even servants that he degrades and dumps Kheer on their head.

Many women stay in such relationship because they dont wanna get "badnaam" or the name of "talaqshuda" for the sake of society or their maaike brings them back to husband. Its not only that these women are weak. The bitter truth is that their own family dont understand them or dont want to understand for the sake of society! If this continues then there are 1000 kind of samrats in this world who will rule the coming many more years!
