Was this chapter a V'day treat for us? It was sure worth it. 😳

There was a lot in this chapter which marked for new beginnings. It felt like the thick clouds of gloom and despair had just been lifted to give fresh new colours to everything; whether it was Dev and his tentative hope of standing on his feet once again, or the equation of Maan with Geet and Miri, or the new light in which Geet herself was seeing Maan. The shift in the story was significant as well as well put forth.

You have put the gist of the last chapter into the words above. It is indeed time for change. But let's see what Mr. Khurana does shall we?😉

He has a mind of his own and no matter how much I try to brow beat him, he looks at me down his nose and ignores me😆

Why, he is almost like this authoress I know😲

That stubborn streak is a mile wide😆

Dadi was amazing in this chapter. There are so many shades to her, so much that she has gone through yet she knows how to really live and enjoy, how to be smart and tackle her difficult grandson and surely how to push ye right buttons on him to get him thinking. 😆 Oh yes, I loved her presence of mind and quick thinking to stop Dev at the right time before he said something to change Maan's mind over carrying Geet. 😃

She is called Devi Bonaparte for a reason after all. I love writng Dev and Dadi interactions as much as Miri- Maan 😃

Dev was... well, Dev. I was trying to imagine his face when he saw Maan picking Geet up and looked as if he had found an answer to something significant. You know what came to my mind? The scene from the film Tangled when Rapunzel wears her crown for the first the and Pascal looks on with eyes and mouth opening wider by the second. 😆

Perfect Analogy. I couldn't have put it better. He has just realized that he may not want her just for a Di after all😉

While Maan's steadfastness when he stood as a strong pillar for his brother and grandmother is commendable, and his stubbornness about not willingly wanting to change his opinion for people (read Geet) is irritating, I really like his perseverance. I agree with Dadi that he should find out about Geet's story himself and when he does, it will mean a lot different to him than if he just heard it from his Dadi. And like Dadi, I have faith that he'll find it out for sure. 😃

He is what he is, just like we are all blind and prejudice in some way or other. The bottom line is, are we willing to be a better man or woman by letting go of our ego and admitting we were wrong, or do we hold still hold on and decide to be knowingly ignorant.

The flight down the stairs which was quite a long one (😳) was what I was referring to as the V'day gift. The song that played in my mind for both their conditions was Gustakh Dil from English Vinglish, I can't say why. Maybe because their minds were so trying to fight off what their gustakh dil were feeling with the proximity of each other.

And you say, you can't come up with a perfect song for a given situation🤔

I couldn't have put their situation better than what the song conveys.

It is their hearts that are being disobedient after all.😳

I am now wondering, that if the simple scene of him carrying her down the stairs can be written in somewhat romantic terms by you, what will happen when the real romance starts? Will I have to skip the chapters then? 😆

Just for saying that i am going to write a sizzling chapter and and hound you to death until you analyze it😆😆

Actually, a lot of the credit for the staircase part goes to my husband.😛

I gave him the scenario and asked him to give me a guys point of view.

Of course the first thing he said was the treadmill thing that had me cracking up😆

But he also mentioned a heart pounding, a roaring in the ears and the scent of a woman😳

I could imagine the heart pounding and the roaring in the ears stuff, but i had not considered the scent thing.😳 He said women smell different than man and a man attracted to a woman would absolutely notice that.😆

And I loved that Maan Miri scene. I'm looking forward to a lot more Sheru-imp scenes now. 😃

I love writing about those two, so yeah you can look forward to more of those for sure😃
