What are your views on the characters abrupt ending?
** Wow... I'm still in shock... I wouldn't have imagined such a thing happening... I always did assume that Tulsi would be there till the end of the show... It started with her and it's only fair that it ends with her... Never did I once consider Kyunki without Tulsi/Smriti...😕😕
Do you think it will mean the end of KSBKBT?
** Well... It will certainly not be the END of Kyunki... The show still has a few strong performers, such as Hiten, Gauri, Rakshanda, Suvarna, Shilpa, Akashdeep, Ronit, Reshmi and Amit... They can sustain the show... I think...!
Can u imagine Kyunki without Smriti? Or someone else essaying the role of Tulsi?
** Nope... Like I mentioned, Kyunki still has a few characters who can hold the show up... But without Tulsi!?!?! The "dor" joining all these characters who don't even relate to each other is Tulsi...! Tulsi is the protagonist of the show! Kyunki without her is like... JASSI JAISI KOI NAHI without Jassi! Or Mamta without Mamta! I mean... It's just unthinkable!
Smriti is synonymous with Tulsi... I mean you think Smriti, you think Tulsi... Tulsi Virani has managed to carve a niche in the hearts of the public like no other protagonist ever has... She was always the first lady of Indian television. Jassis, Kripas, and Anjalis have come and gone, and no doubt, they were hugely popular too, but no one; and I mean NO ONE has managed to stay on as long as Tulsi Virani. NO ONE.
As for anyone else playing Tulsi? Psshh... I'd rather they kill off the character and give it a dignified death with Smriti still playing it, rather than bring in someone else who will never manage to match up to her. There's no doubt that no one else will match up to her. Just like how no one else can match up to Manoj Bohra as Prem/UD. It just can't be done. The public will just not accept it.
Do you think this news is a rumour, like the previous one ?
** I sure as hell hope so! I don't want Smriti to leave...
Are relations between Smriti and Ekta really strained? Is it because of Smriti concentrating more towards her career as a producer than that as an actor?
** I don't really know. To me, Ekta Kapoor comes across as a woman who dictates the terms on how the soaps are made/actors work/things are done, in general. Smriti seems to be a stong lady as well. Perhaps they did clash, due to their strong egos?
Although, it does seem kind of stupid, that Ekta would let go of the character/actor who made Balaji what is is right now. Don't forget, Prerna and Parvati may be popular. But think Ekta Kapoor and you think "saas - bahu" and Tulsi. So letting Smriti go seems like something really stupid.
The producer thing seems to be one theory. She wants to branch out and come out into her own. She's been under the Balaji banner for long enough.
The other thought in my mind is that, maybe, Smriti is just bored with playing Tulsi. I mean, like I mentioned, Smriti is synonymous with Tulsi. Maybe after 7 years of playing her, Smriti just doesnt want to be known as "Tulsi Virani" anymore? She wants to be known as something more than just Tulsi Virani?
The thing is, Kyunki will never be Kyunki without Smriti Irani/Tulsi Virani (Hey! It rhymes! Hee hee! 😆) No matter how many people watch it for Karan-Nandini/Lakshya-KT, fact of the matter is, Kyunki can hardly survive without the character of Tulsi Virani. And Tulsi Virani CANNOT survive without Smriti Irani. Period.
