Achtung Babies!
Okay, before I take off on the Laal Ishq happening between Rudra and Paro, I need to mention a small thing which, at least I have missed during observation, but the writers drove into my head today.
- Rudra is NOT ASHAMED of crying , breaking down, collapsing or being vulnerable in front of Paro.A man like him who has never shed a tear in front of his folks once teenage took over is OK if he has to shed tears in front of Paro. He does not mind being weak in front of Paro - and no, he makes NO attempt to cover it up, either. Badee baat ho ya na ho, lekin ye apnepan ki nishaani zaroor hai. Its like, his insides tell him that its ok to cry in front of Dhuyaan Kumari.
Now, i can get on with the post.
1. Zakhmee Aurat- Paro
Paro , in her perspective, in her situation , in her understanding is RIGHT. Completely oblivious to the harsh truth and the ugly faces she is trying to protect, Paro is only playing fair - she is being her righteous , moralistic, honest and brutally loyal self. She has too much integrity to be shaken even by the man who affects her the most, scares her the most-est of the most. Yes, she UNDERSTANDS what Rudra is going through, what he says and what he screams registers with her, she even sheds kiraaye-ke-aansu for him, but all this sympathy and empathy does not amount to crossing her line of loyalty and integrity.
Today, when Rudra tears her apart by using a psychological and emotional third degree on her, she gets traumatized, scandalized - she even grabs his collar and mistakes herself to be Rudra for a few seconds. She gets terrorized by what Rudra says, commits and threatens - she gets cornered ...infact, she shakes like a winter leaf - shakes and shivers enough to almost sign the paper.
Par hua kya? Imaan ki pakki hai aur imaan beech meinn aa gayaa.
And all her bravery of a David is remarkably delivered in one single sentence - " Main sahee hoon, sacchi hoon, toh phir main uskaa saath kyun doon?"
True. Paro is being honest with her reality and its NOT her fault if she fainted due to lack of glucose in her body when Rudra saved her life by shooting her naam-ka-patee.
Aur rahee shaadi ki baat. Well, sometimes, life gets you to the edge of a cliff... and you can only jump off the cliff. You don't know where you will land - but you do know that jumping was the only option. So, abb jo bhi ho Paro ke saath, wo usske liyye tayyaar hai - and the precap is only a glimpse of that.
2. Zakhmee Aadmi - Rudra.
Most of us HOPEFULLY will never know what it is like to live under the threat of 72+ hours , on the other side of which , our life is going to be snatched away. How does a person think, act, react when he/she is going to lose everything in the blink of an eye.What does it feel like to be on the right side of truth , to know truth, to know that you are more right in your decision than anyone can imagine and yet be unable to prove it? What does a person go through when he/she is cornered from all sides, suffocated from all sides and threatened with asphyxiation?...How does it feel to be called 'wrong' and a 'sinner' when its you who stood up for the right and tried to be good. Like , my Stefan Salvatore would say to Caroline - What's the point of being good , at all?
Rudra , if i look back from here, did just ONE mistake and that too as a combat officer , not as a human-being. He underestimated the strength of his opponents and the operation went out of hand. He could have kept Varun alive by injuring him, but he killed him. He kept too much confidence in a witness who didn't even witness the bloodbath.
And today, he is paying the price of this small neuron disorder with his LIFE. And because Paro's life is the 25% extra Glucon D on his own packet, he actually believes that him and Paro are a package deal Abb abaadi ho ya barbaadi, hum saath-saath hainn sanam. Rudra is on the edge of desperation now , he is falling apart inside , he can lose anything but not his love for his nation - his emotional and furious breakdown in front of Paro, his impulsive promise to marry Paro and keep her forever, his disturbed and scared paani-meinn-munnh-dekho-aur-dho scene - you can see that this situation which he is in , is the brink that he is terrified of.
At the center of it all, stands Paro. Rudra knows he is right, his soldiers were right and his mission, maybe ill-planned was right. Toh kyun nahin maanti Paro? Aur wo kyun maane ki Paro bekusoor hai? ...So, he wipes his tears and goes all guns blazing on his Dhuyan Kumaari.
Inference samjhe?
Inference ye hai that just like Paro cannot prove to Rudra that she is innocent, Rudra cannot prove to Paro that all her familial men are guilty. Aur Varun Sa toh abb aane se rahhe.
Jiskaa bhi idea tha Varun Sa ko eliminate karne ka, wo writer genius hai.Likhh ke le lo aap.
So, zakhmee aadmi says i will marry you turn you into raddee .To this, zakhmee aurat smirks and says you tell me how much lambee zubaan should your Beendni have? ... And this dhishoom-dhishkyaaon continues and how.
For the rest, kindly neeche dhyaan deinn.
1. The most LOVELY moment of the episode was when Rudra exhibited some adorable hand holding with Paro- very gentle and very kind. Darwaaze ke peechhe ke naatak bhool jaao.
2. Paro proved that she is Rudra's perfect match. Collar pakdaa aur kya solid pakdaa and she told him what he always tells her - Look into my eyes when am talking to you.
3. Mausam Aunty maan gayee that her Rudra is as talented as her. Khoon toh ek hi daudh rahaa hai na ragon mein donno ki.
4. The boy playing Sumer is capable of holding a scene on his own and he proved it in the last scene. Cute, he was. Phanboying over Rudra and Paro ki shaadi.
5. Rudra do aansu bahaata hai aur Paro ka dil pighal jaata hai. Phir use baad mein yaad aata hai ki Rudra ke paas blood cells nahiin, granite hai.
