After the Abhishek Bachchan-Aishwarya Rai wedding frenzy, the big question in Bollywood right now is: Who will be the next star couple to tie the knot? We checked up on some of B-Town's hottest couples about wedding plans and this is what we came up with.
After having dated some of the most beautiful women in B-Town, Salman Khan is still single. It seems that Sushmita Sen is going down the same path.

The buzz: Sen has never needed society's approval, so you never know. She might just go down the Salman Khan road!
Dil diya hai: John Abraham and Bipasha Basu
Dating since: 2003. Cupid struck on the sets of Pooja Bhatt's Jism. Both knew each other as models earlier, but sparks flew only in the sizzling settings of Pondicherry.
Dhol bajne laga: Both John and Bipasha maintain, "Marriage is not on the cards for the next few years."
The buzz: Not for another three years.
Dil diya hai: Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor
Dating since: 2004.
Dhol bajne laga: Kareena says, "We're not getting married for the next five years, at least.
I want Shahid to concentrate on his career. His time will come and he will rock.
He has age on his side and is a great performer. Shahid has a great line-up of films. I want to give him time and space for his work."
The buzz: We think at least five years too.

Dating since: 2004. Farhan, a restaurateur and son of Samajwadi Party MP Abu Asim Azmi, met Ayesha at Farhan's restaurant Basilico and fell in love.
Dhol bajne laga: Farhan says, "Though we are sure that we will get married someday, we haven't decided on a date yet.
We have discussed marriage and our families are happy about it too. It will be whenever we are ready for it."

Dating since: 1999. They met at a fashion show in Bangalore, where both were walking the ramp, and have been going steady ever since.
Dhol bajne laga: The couple has been living together for over seven years, but there are no confirmed plans for marriage.
The buzz: It could happen this year, or maybe two years from now. It really doesn't matter. They are as good as married (read: committed) anyway.
Dil diya hai: Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia
Dating since: 2004. Preity met the Bombay Dyeing heir at a Gladrags event (organised by his mother Maureen Wadia) and they've been inseparable ever since.
Dhol bajne laga: Last year, when there was speculation about her wedding, Preity had clarified, "Marriage is a personal decision. I'll take the plunge when the time is right.
As of now, there's nothing on the cards. I'm working on my career. When there's something happening, I'll announce it."
The buzz: Trade pundits and the aam junta believe that Preity will be the next star to get married after AbhiAsh. So is 2008 set for the D-Day? We'll wait for that announcement. |
