Beautiful post and such a lovely episode. They both were stellar as were Kaki and Dilsher.

I just love the journey these two are on, the way its being shown, and the way in which their paths are converging, and one day will be one...

They are perfect foils for each other, and a perfect match. Her moral strength, her clarity of mind and courage to act on what she believes in and her fearlessness is a total match for his courage, his valor his strength, commitment to his own cause, fearlessness and loyalty.

the form all this takes is different for each -- her ethereal innocence, her simplicity is such a contrast to his bleakness, cynicism, and complexity; he is on an unnamed search (for answers about his past???); she only knows the moment...cannot fathom a future, has a past where love replaced loss.

but at core, the spark that defines them both is exactly the same: unshakeable integrity, humanity and decency (hisviolence and jalladness notwithstanding),

and of course their stark loneliness and incompleteness.

There will be eddies ahead, but both are in the same whorl...of life

And then, he sends her mind into another labyrinth as he shields her from the world. He plays with her mind and her heart when he gently holds her hand and tells her, that if she needs something, she should tell only him.

She walks in the corridors of the haunted house, sleeps in its cold beds with him always playing at her mind and poking at her heart. He bleeds and she loses sleep.

How do you define someone who pricks you with needles but takes the swords' blows for you? How are you ever going to explain the safety and security you feel under a monster's claws? How is Paro ever going to crack the mystery of darkness protecting light?

This is what is termed The Stockholm Syndrome in the world of LOGIC.

Not in a mood to write anything more than this.

P.S - So, what Rudra said about relationships did turn out to be true by the end of the episode, hmm? For all the courageous kindness she showed for Maithli and her Sammy boy, there was still just one hand that held Paro's hand - Rudra's.

This is more of a Lima Syndrome phenomenon, the abductor / kidnapper sympathizing with his hostage.😊

Great post, MKM .. you said it all.
But I like your longer analyses please ... keep those coming. Such a short take from you seems incomplete 😛
