Hey Sabs!!
Utterly lovely post!!! Your posts I always look forward to!!! There are always some thought provoking things to read about in it!!
This episode is one of my favorite ones! Rudra is melting!!! And how!!! He is seeing different facets of Paro and is showing different facets of him to her! They are slowly opening up! Their loneliness is going to bring them together eventually!!
Dilsher's delight at knowing what he had predicted about these two, coming true was so genuine! It made me smile at this man who is equally hurt by his wife's action. But the sweetest thing is that he doesn't want his son to go through that pain and he knows that not all beautiful women run away!
For that matter even Rudra knows that but given his experience, he is not ready to accept the truth. Paro is slowly but surely changing Rudra's perception of a beautiful woman! The first of that experience for Rudra was return of Paro when he had laid the plan for her and her Mamisa to be caught red-handed meeting each other in Birpur! She came back for whatever reason but it sure must have jolted Rudra from his perception that a beautiful woman always runs away!!
Thank you, Mozart. 😃 I must say I look forward to meeting you here on this thread.
@ Rudra is melting: So true!! He is less guarded with her now. She has civilised him/soothed (made a promising start at least) the monster in him. So that he can explore other ways of reacting/dealing with her. Ways that allow his finer emotions out, finally. And yes, their loneliness is drawing them to one another.
@Dilsher's delight: Agreed. It's lovely to see a man, himself badly damaged by his wife's actions, still having the sweetness to believe/hope for love for his son. And to actively encourage PaRud. The contrast between what Dilsher could be and what he is is really just heart-warming.
@ Paro changing Rudra's perception of beautiful women: Great point. 👏 She is indeed chipping away at Rudra's ugly belief re beautiful women, thanks to her return from Birpur, to enjoying household chores, to wanting to stick up for blameless children. She is slowly healing him.
What a beautiful journey!!
Only fear is what her refusal to sign the papers will do to him. When she refused earlier in the cell, he took it as betrayal. And now that he has softened this much, her refusal to sign will redouble the strength of his hatred towards her and beautiful women.
