My. Close friend faced same issues...after 12 years of marriage...
Countless docs,no of temples,mannat,darghas. She still couldn't have a child...😭
But adoption was out of question...
Same ditto thing...
Father in law is supportive but can't say so in presence of wife...
Mom in law is just as evil as chachi...
She said if you adopt ,we are not same family...
You won't get inheritance or acceptance as family member...
From last 2.5 yrs my frd & hubby are trying to convince MIL ...but no use...
If you can't have a kid...live like that...
MIL taunts her having special body, special needs all the time...😭
Like yeh you are special"tum alaag Jo ho" because my frd has some issues...
So ott but very present in many families.....

Hmm yess this is the basic problem with major families even today ... all r conservative and hv old school thoughts when it comes to adoption vs hving your own child .. its more about in-laws hving doubts on the adopted child's birth history .. like what religion , or whose sin this child has resulted .. etc etc

Its sad but true .. I hv seen similar case in my neighbourhood too in Kolkata .. they had to convince both their in-laws for like 4-5 yrs before they got the nod for adoption but that too the mother in law was never really happy about it though she gave her consent ..

sighhh somethings never change

Loved the post Jyo. Yes, we got some contradictory scenarios that are part of motherhood!

Somewhere every mother is selfish when it comes to her own children. It all depends how you channel it to yr offspring, through love, acceptance of their individuality or domination and control to become the way you want them to be.

Yeahh .. every mother will want to keep a hold on her kids but their ways r different .. some r dominating and manipulative like Mohini while some try to keep hold over their kids with love and affection ..

I truly feel Samrat is not spineless. He didn't speak because there was nothing to say. He knew the outcome that is why he was angry with her from the start for trying to bang her head against a brick wall. It's easy to assume that he cannot protect his wife's honor in public. The main issue here is that he has accepted their weakness. It's VERY difficult for men to concede they cannot father children. He may be able to stop the looks, accusations at home, but outside the haveli how many mouths can he stop?

Though he had nothing to say on adoption issue , but he should hv at least spoken up when Mohini kept taunting about her not able to produce a child .. at least Samrat could hv said he is equally at fault or mayb he too is fine with adoption to show support to his wife .. because there it looked as if only Maithili wants this but Samrat is with his mother

These taunts, thoughts, looks play havoc on a person mentally. Maithli has a strong husband in the sense he has reconciled with their situation as it is, supports her & has the ability to at least wipe her tears and bring a smile to her face behind close doors!
I am saying this from experience as I know a few people very close to me married 18 yrs, 24 yrs no children, but the men outright refuse to acknowledge their fault.

Well yeah Maithili's husband at least dont taunt her for not able to conceive .. he has equally taken the blame and still loves her a lot which is what has kept Maithili happy amidst this crisis ..

Rudra was earnestly listening to the aspect of motherhood Paro has grown up in, caring, loving, mamisa taking care of her bhanji selflessly. All nice and rosy, but when the time came she refused to acknowledge Paro on Thakurs orders! The betrayal aspect didn't change.

I guess thats a diff between a real mother and Mami .. no wonder Rudra still secretly longing for his mother

Dilsher and Danveer, they seem as tho they hav been brought up in a loving carefree environment. But when the time came his Chacha & father couldn't become the pillar of strength and support as well grounded person's should be.

Again its proof of how one does need a woman in life to bring that stability .. that women can make or break a house which is the risk these men took by marrying both sisters 😛

Maithli a kind. compassionate person wanting to adopt, but at the end of it all the pull for a child she has to acquiesce under the dominating views of her Saas.

Common story of every joint family

KakiSa I don't think I hv to mention. You have done justice to her maternal inabilities!🤣

Well she thinks she is not just a mother but a god mother in this case 😆😆

I know my view is total opposite to what u hav written😆...but I think all in all these facets just reinforced Rudra's views of women and mothers tenfold!😆

Yeah I loved what u wrote and what might b going in his mind when the whole drama was going on .. I bet he has seen this negative aspect of all characters for sure and thats why his silence 😆😆

Yeah I know half of the forum is dead after watching that killer precap including me 😆☺️ but I want to die fully on Monday only after watching the whole episode 😆😳 , so today I will rather discuss a serious topic 😳 ... The topic is Motherhood .. The episode today highlights the various definiton of Motherhood ...

We have Rudra's Mother who left Rudra in childhood , reason why today he is so bitter towards life and dont want to believe in any relationships anymore .. In fact he has become so aloof that he dont feel any sort of emotions or sympathy when he sees Chachi sa blasting that poor Mythili over motherhood issues ,.. He just dont want to get involved in any sort of topics that r related to motherhood anymore because of his mother who left for reasons better known to her only ..

Then we have Mohini who is also a mother of two sons and she does love her sons too but her love is so selfish that she always wants to keep her domination intact over her both sons without really caring about their wishes or happiness , reason why her one son Samrat has turned out to b spineless , torn betweenn his mother and wife while other son Sumer has turned out to b rowdie types who even though acts like a momma's boy but secretly wants to sell away the haveli without letting his mother know about it ...

Then we have Maithili who is longing to b a mother of a kid for a long time now but is not able to experience that joy and happiness 😭 thanks to the hypocratic thoughts of her mother-in-law and a spineless husband who has no voice of his own ... She wants to feel complete from inside as a woman by becoming a mother but its such a sad irony that Mohini who is also a mother is against the idea just because she does not want a adopted heir for her family ... This is why one says a woman is only a worst enemy of another woman

Then we have Parvati , who is a young woman , lost her parents in childhood , her own Mamiji who brought her up like her own daughter also disowned her today , yet as a woman she stands up for Maithili so that she can experience motherhood in life 👍🏼 .. Not only she gives courage and confidence to Maithili to speak up but she also stands storng and gives it back to Mohini today about her hypocracy related to motherhood 👏👏👏...

I m loving the way CVs r portraying various faces of a woman as a mother 👍🏼 .. If Rudra's mother remains a mystry , then Mohini reflects the typical dominating and controlled mother who wants to keep her sons under her wings forever 😆 , while Maithili reflects many of those woman who r longing to expereince motherhood but r deprieved of it due to our hypocritical society ...Parvati has witnessed it all in last few weeks and so as a woman she has started to feel strongly about the family now reason why today she got involved in the whole issue knowing that Rudra wont like it ..

Though Rudra might not like how Parvati got involved in this mess and how she actually told Maithili about her Mamiji ,. but what Rudra saw today was totally in contrast to his beliefs about women ... He assumes Mothers r either like Mohini or like his mother .. But instead he saw two women today ..Maithili and Parvati both defining Motherhood in such a respectful manner thus changing the entire prejudiced thought process of Rudra about a Mother ... Like I said he might not openly admit or appreciate all this but today's episode will definitely hold a significance for future when he will remember the way both Maithili and Parvati defending themselves against Mohini about Motherhood ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rudra took the slap today because his heart knows Parvati was right in supporting Miathili today 😳😳.. Like I said in my yesterday's take , a slap wont really kill anyone 😆 , so Rudra cant give the excuse of how he stood in front and took the slap to save Paro's life as she is his witness blabla 😉😆 ; He took the slap because he knows Parvati was right today ...

Overall quite a interesting episode and I m glad the whole issue of adoption is given importance because this problem still exists in our society .. there r many couples who cannot hv kids and want to adopt a kid but family pressure and society opposition gets to them .. So I hope in the end CVs give this a positive conclusion with Samrat and Maithili showing enough courage to go and adopt a baby because its NOT wrong 👍🏼 ... I know there r alternatives like surrogacy and stuffs , but those r quite costly and a normal middle class family cannot afford all that ... So Adoption route is actually easy and it can actually secure life of a orphan kid too .. So why not ? 😊

Jyoti, that is a truly lovely post, where you have beautifully analysed all the different maternal roles involved so far in this story!StarStarStarStar
I am not adding anything to that for you have covered it all!
But one thing I want to especially point out in that episode, did you see Rudra's expressions when Parvati started talking back to Chachi? He was silently watching her retaliation and when finally Chachi tried to raise her hand against Paro he came in between in a timely fashion and took the slap. But I saw the episode repeatedly just to see the way he was shrewdly watching Paro give back as good as she got!
I think he is starting to respect her a lot because not once did he butt into the conversation or tell Paro to keep quiet. I was expecting every minute that he will tell her to keep quiet because he keeps telling her not to mingle and to stay within her room. He just let paro continue as she was going on!
From the way he let her do as she wanted I get the feeling that when the time comes he may also accept his mother's point of view when she says why she had to leave him. I think he respects women who are strong, and he gets upset regarding his mother only when she is portrayed as a weak woman without morals.

I guess somewhere in his heart he felt that certain pleasure to see at least someone standing upto Chachi's injustice apart from him .. I guess he secretly did enjoy the clash here and mayb saw his own mirror image in Paro that point 😛

He might tell her today about why she had to interfere but in private 😉 .. in front of Chachi , he wants to make everryone believe that he does agree with Paro's POV and thats why took the slap and mayb in his own heart too he knows Paro is right and so silently supported her without stopping her in middle .. 😳

Yeah I guess whats bothering him more all these yrs is he dunno the reason why his mother left him .. we dunno whether he really hates his mother or not because he never verbally said so , he hates the fact that women always betray men .. but if his mother gives a justification to it and it appears that she dint really betray anyone , then his whole perception might change .. 🤔
