Aishwarya is so popular in the South. The director announced he's doing a film with her as lead.

Ash hasn't shot anything but they also put together this creative first look

No word from Ash yet but if director is released press releases looks to be true

The heroine has been announced when the heroes are yet to be cast. Normally it's otherwise, the heroine is the last one to be signed because they need to be approved by our heroes first, thanks to our male dominated misogynist industry. Hope this sets some sort of a precedent for the times to come.

This is compeletely unexpected! She's basically confirmed for this one, I mean the director would never release a picture of her and and a press release if he wasn't sure haha. She's also rumored to be starring in that Mani Ratnam movie where she's rumored to be playing a villain.

She's has always aken the unconventional route and this just adds to that. This seems like a huge opportunity and a completely intense woman oriented film!

When I heard she rejected Happy New Year I thought she was crazy but I can completely see why now! Very excited for this one!

Best news this Sunday morning. I feel she is just teasing us till Cannes and then all the big announcements will come. But I hope this is one of MANY, MANY, MANY more to come. I just love her for chasing talent and good work and not doing candy floss roles to stay relevent. I'm so excited and I hope of one of the actors is VIkram--I loved their chemistry in Ravaan.

She is making a smart move .. even if the movie flops (such movies don't usually flop in southern cinema), she will still get critical acclaim.

I know a lot of people that would be happy with that. There's so many that want that to happen for a long time. I wonder if he would though?! I wanna see it. It's so unconventional to her to pick a South Indian movie, her choices in roles make me so happy to be her fan. 😳
