Chapter 67

Karthik is back to the hotel room after a hectic day. He was so tired and fell asleep. When he woke up, it was dark and he took the phone to call Raji. There was a mail from her which read...
"Hi Karthik,
romba tired aa irukkiyaa???? thoongittiyaa???
OK... naalaikku pesalaam... GOOD NIGHT... I LOVE YOU..."

Karthik looks at the time and it was half past ten... It would be around 3 a.m. there and Raji would have waited for me to call, he thinks. He sees a missed call and a message from Philip. The message was "Karthik ... be ready at 10 a.m. tomorrow... i'll pick you up... have a surprise for you..."
Karthik has a Coffee, watches TV for sometime and then again fells asleep.

NEXT DAY:

Karthik wakes up and looks at the time. It was 8.30 a.m. He gets ready
and has his breakfast. He calls Raji but she doesn't answer. He tries
several times and then messages her. "Where are you darling??
Please pick up the phone... LOVE YOU... Karthik..."
He then calls Vishnu...
Vishnu: hello...
Karthik: machaan... eppadi irukke daa?
Vishnu: fine daa... enna panre?
Karthik: ippo thaan ezhundhu breakfast aachu... Philip varen nu solli
irukkaan... avanukkaaga waiting...
Vishnu: enjoy machaan... eppo flight?
Karthik: naalaikku kaalaile inga 7.50 ku daa...
Vishnu: land aagarathukku night aayidumaa?

Karthik cuts the call and the door bell rings... He opens the door and
Philip comes in. Ten minutes later Philip and Karthik get into his car. Karthik asks what the surprise is and he answers.."you'll get to know in sometime..."
Philip takes him to Berlin Cathedral and from there they board a cruise.


Karthik: wow... is this the surprise? where are we going?
Philip: yeah... now you'll have a look around Berlin on the River Spree for the perfect introduction to Berlin's famous sights and varied
architecture. it's the best way to see a different side to Berlin.
Karthik: Thanks... Philip...
Philip: mention not...


They cruise right through the city of Berlin, passing famous sights such as Potsdamer Platz, the Reichstag, Museum Island, Berlin Cathedral and much more.





During the boat trip Philip ordered a variety of snacks, hot and cold
dishes and beverages on spot and kept Karthik occupied giving all info about his city.
Karthik enjoyed the trip thoroughly and the trip ended after 4 hours.
Then Philip takes Karthik for shopping. Since Karthik didn't think about shopping and had no idea of what to do ... just follows Philip and looks at things and shops there. After some time, he gets an idea and buys different varieties of perfumes for everyone. He also buys some chocolates.
Then Philip takes Karthik to his home. Karthik first hesitates but later
feels it would be a thanks giving gesture for the person who was so
friendly and took care of him all these days. He buys a beautiful flower
bouquet on the way. Philip's parents welcome Karthik with so much
warmth. Karthik gives the bouquet to Philips mom. Philip introduces him to his parents and siblings. He had a younger sister and a younger brother who were in their higher school. Karthik gives some chocolates to them and has great fun spending time with them.
He calls Raji and she answers...
Raji: helloo...
Karthik: happaa... enna un kitta pesaradhe kudhirai kombaa irukke?
Raji: ennadhu?
Karthik: onnum ilaa... enna panre?
Raji: veettukku poyittu irukken...
Karthik: ippovaa?
Raji: mmm...
Karthik: eppadi pore?
Raji: Viswanathan Sir drop panraaru...
Karthik: Sir pakkathula irukkaaraa?
Raji: aamaa...
Karthik: huh... nalla velai ...
Raji: en ennaachu?
Karthik: onnum illai... naan nee veetla iruppe nnu nenachen...
Raji: sari eppo kilambare?
Karthik: naalaikku kaalaile... reach aaga night aayidum...

Karthik: Ok... bye...
Raji: bye...

Karthik cuts the call and Philip's mom invites for dinner. Philip's mom
has prepared many simple traditional german food for Karthik. Philip,
his parents, sister and brother get along with Karthik well and he feels
almost at home. Finishing dinner, Karthik thanks everyone, invites them to India and returns to the hotel with Philip. Philip drops him, asks him to be ready by 6 a.m in the morning and he'll come to take him to the airport and drives back home.

NEXT DAY:

Karthik is ready to leave and sharp 6 a.m. Philip picks him from the
hotel and drops at the Berlin Tegel airport. Karthik hugs him and thanks him for the hospitality. Philips asks him to be in touch and Karthik says he definitely will.
Karthik calls Raji from the airport.
Raji: helloo...
Karthik: hello...
Raji: kilambittiyaa?
Karthik: mmm... airport la irukken... nee enga irukke?
Raji: sir cabin la..
Karthik: OK...naan reach aaga night aayidum...
Raji: land aanadhum call pannu... romba late aachunna naalaikku
parkalaam...
Karthik: ok ... bye...
Raji: bye...
Karthik boards the flight and changes in Frankfurt and lands in Chennai around 12 in the midnight. He collects his baggage and calls Vishnu.
Vishnu says he is waiting for him outside the airport. After an hour
Karthik comes out of the airport and gets in to Vishnu's car.
Karthik: happaa... I'm back home...
Vishnu: eppadi irundhuchi daa trip?
Karthik: nallaa thaan irunthuchi daa... aanaa unga ellaraiyum
bayangaramaa miss pannen daa...
Vishnu: ellaaraiyumaa? Raji ya mattumaa?
Karthik: dei...
Vishnu: sari daa... nambitten...
Karthik: sari... neraa Raji veettukku po...

Vishnu drives to Raji's athai home and stops the car. Both of them get
down and the whole street was quiet.
Vishnu: dei... ellarum thoongaraanga daa... vaa poyidalaam...
Karthik: iru ... naan call panren..
Vishnu: dei... venaa...
Karthik: en daa?

Both of them get into the car and reach home.

Lakshmi is working on her laptop and welcomes Karthik...
Lakshmi: Hi Karthik... how was your trip?

Karthik: Lakshmi Coffee podareengalaa?

Karthik goes to his room, takes a shower. He looks into the mirror and combs his hair. He sees Raji standing behind him. He smiles and says ... Kashtam daa Karthi... enga parthaalum Raji theriyaraa nnaa...
unakku nallaa muthiduchi ...seekkiram kalyaanam pannikkanum...
Karthik touches the mirror and says... innum 4 hours thaan... 6 mani
aana udane call pannidaren.. Ok... Lakshmi coffee pottu wait pannittu
iruppaanga... naan keezha ponum... I LOVE YOU...
"I LOVE YOU TOO..." Raji's image in the mirror says...
Karthik is shocked and he turns and looks behind. Raji was standing
there with a mug in her hand. She stretches her hand and says..."inthaa coffee..."
Karthik reaches her and touches her cheek to confirm whether she was really there. Raji smiles and says... enna parkare?
Karthik is very surprised and says ... Rajii... inga enna panre?
Raji: unnai parthu 5 naal aachu... adhaan...
She keeps the coffee on the table beside, moves closer to him, looks
into his eyes and says" I missed you Karthik...".
Karthik couldn't resist anymore... He pulls her closer and hugs her
saying..."I MISSED YOU TOO..."
Both of them depart, have a beautiful eyelock and say " I LOVE YOU"
together.

Sweety this is the fantasic part..
