Keep calm and watch Rangrasiya

I'm quite surprised to come on to IF today and see more posts about 'that' interview instead of the episode. This forum should be all about the drama and the characters, NOT the actors. Of course it's great to discuss the off screen action as well but I don't think there should be so much over analysis. I've been reading a lot of posts also saying Ashish's wife is really insecure etc which is quite a personal, unfair assumption to make. I think we are all smart enough to know how easy words on paper can be misinterpreted, hell even on this forum sometimes we mean one thing and it comes across as something else. I think we should cut Ashish and his wife some slack here, unless we actually saw a video interview of some sort we cannot be sure what was said. And from the videos we've seen of Ashish with Sanaya and others offscreen he seems lovely and cordial with everyone, definitely not thinking he's superior. In fact it just shows how everyone interprets things differently that when I read the part where he said no one is on my level I just assumed he meant as in he doesn't have a lot in common on terms of interests with others on set etc hence he keeps quiet. Even though we can see for ourselves that is not the case anymore, Sanaya and him seem to have hit it right off! And lastly, the original article has been changed which clearly illustrates that the media can write what they want, when they want, and we shouldn't believe everything we read. And IF Ashish really does think we girls are dumb, then he is the dumbest of all as 99.9% of his fan are girls!

I did not find it offensive at all. I read the article many times and if anyone has seen how down to earth he really is, then y all the hungama? I say boys are stupid all the time (of course I dont have a single fan when compared to the million or so fangirls for Ashish😉). But still, people say such things all the while without meaning any harm. Y do we have to blow it out of proportion? NOW THATS PROVING WE R DUMB!!-- Now people who want to take offence with this statement will. But when Ashish and wife are getting bashed left, right and center, then how can I be spared? Dont care 1 bit!!

I completely agree. I've even seen some posts critisizing his wife's clarification, saying that it's wrong to call girls who talk about makeup dumb. I wish everything wouldn't get taken so literally! How many times do us girls roll our eyes and switch off when boys start talking about football and playstation?! Do we think those boys are dumb. No. It's just a lot of girls aren't interested in that sort of thing. Similarly I can't think of one boy in my life who would want to sit and discuss makeup with me! Anyway I thought the interview was really cute and natural too and it's just a shame we probably won't get much more like it anymore because of all this controversy. Ashish will probably be so cautious and guarded in his media interactions from now on :(

I just hope this one doesn't turn into a bashing post like the other one did and I tried to say something there too. Have plenty to say about this subject but looking at the forum reaction think its just better to shut up and let sleeping dogs lie. No use fueling the controversy, so I just hope this dies down soon!
