A narrow escape for YRF's Gunday
A while ago it was heard that Gunday had landed in legal trouble over a song that was shot in Kolkata. Kolkata high court lawyer Krishnendu Gooptu filed a PIL wanting to know why permission was granted to shoot against the backdrop of the auspicious Dakshineswar Kali Temple in the song Tune Maari Entriyan.
The song features Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Arjun Kapoor gyrating near the statue of Surjya Sen outside the high court and in the Dakshineshwar temple courtyard. The latest update is that the PIL has been rejected as the judges have asked the advocate to approach the censor board with his complaint, since they have already cleared the film. The film has successfully cleared a big hurdle that could have disrupted its release on February 14.
